I hug and kiss my birds. I'm not afraid. I also hug and kiss my dogs and cat...and kids. I know what all of them walk in, around and figure I'm boosting my immune system.

but the question still remains... can I do the yogurt and the ACV while doing the cocci treatment? they are on corid right now.... will those things interfere with those meds at all?

I have a stinky chick too!!!!!!

She is the only easter egger out of mostly reds and a couple of other breeds.

She is six weeks old and has stunk since I've had her.
That's FIVE weeks of stink!

She is healthy and happy as a clam.
Her feathers smell SO bad. Like old hamster cage or rotten smell.

NONE of the other chickens smell.
I am curious to find out what happens with your bird since I have the same problem!

Are some breeds just stinkier??
That's my guess with her.
She is totally healthy and like I said, has been this way for 5 weeks.

LOL oh gosh, so you're saying that she's always going to be stinky? LOL! BLAH!!! heheh

well, I don't think its a breed thing because in my scenario I have 3 here that are the same breed and the other ones dont stink like she does! maybe a tiny bit stinky but nothing like this! my BO's don't have any stink at all though.

I didn't know if the corid is an antibiotic or what it is exactly.... I knwo that in humans, using antibiotics and probiotics can be counterproductive unless you alternate it...

Im not sure what exactly corid is...

SO weird! I don't have any other EEs to go by, so that was my best guess...

I hope someone knows something on here...if it's happened to 2 of us, I'm sure there are others?? hahaha.

Maybe I'll go bathe her.... my husband is going to walk in on his lunch break, see me bathing a chicken and really think I've lost my mind.

LOL!!! the things we do for our stinky chicks

OK, well her feathers still smell a lot better with a small touch of stink... but then there is the breath factor still. I can still smell her a little ways away... like I had them out and Im like, oh... that smell!!! and then I looked up and there was Queen.... sigh........ once Im done with the corid Im giving her the sour crop treatment just in case!

how important is it to get the organic ACV? I have a gallon of the regular ACV here.... can I give that?

Update: by golly! I think that bath did her some good! as she was mostly smelling good except for her face, I must say that she is completely stink proof now!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you to all who helped!!!
