Why isn’t Cockerel stopping hens from fighting?

Are these your only chickens? If so, that might not be an all bad thing. You would have a lovely bachelor flock. If you have any females, I would separate them from these cockerels ASAP. Once they get to wanting to breed, they will harass the pullets to no end. They will gang breed, chase them from food and water, and give them no peace. (This is the voice of experience speaking.) Once they’re separated, you can take some time to figure out which one you want to keep.

Yes I have females but I don’t think the red is ready to breed. My leghorn is gentle with hens and doesn’t jump on them he does the rooster dance. They black and white one isn’t very dominant of thing a doesn’t fighting with the leghorn. I am going to keep them until I am certain that they are rooster because their very beautiful chickens.

I will keep that in mind tho to separate 2 of them and make sure they don’t over breed any of my chickens.
