Simply sounds like to many roosters . I only have 2 roosters and the head rooster still fights with the other . He does not want that othe roos anywhere near " his gals" . LOL

In the past I’ve always kept Production Reds, they start laying around 14 weeks and they lay a bunch of eggs....this time I decided that I would like something different so I got several different breeds chosen because they were pretty and were supposed to be good layers. They are 19 weeks and I have not seen a single egg from 30 various breeds.

This spring I’m going to go back to the Production Reds and be happy with my dull red hens.

I hope I win LOL

Hey siz: One of my 25+ weekers (an Austrolope) has been seen sitting in her box and pacing...I think that just maybe a little egg could appear. It is either that or she loves to see me run up and down the stairs to the backyard to check up on her. I guess worst case scenario is that I may lose weight checking on her. LOL

How are your girls doing??? Any news????

How are they doing now? I'm thinking your going to get a ton of eggs real soon. My girls just started laying and they are about 21 and 22 weeks. One has laid pretty consistently for the past week and two more laid their first eggs today.

Patience is the key!!! Not sure about your older silkie though.

woohoo!!!! Midnight (Austrolope) layed her first egg today. 6 chickens are now laying only 13 to go...only four of those are older than 25+ weeks. So perhpaps I should just keep pushing the others into the nest box and putting the golf balls under their fluffy little butts and begging them to lay me some cute little eggs.

Things we do for chickens...

Not to rub it in but......

We got yet another egg. I just don't know who did this one. My guess would be the BO named Mary. Or maybe the White splash mystery bird I thought could be a roo (she did a hen squat today; Do roos hen squat?).

I am hoping that your birds will all lay one egg by this time tomorrow. Then your birds will have won.
