Why Orpingtons?

Hi Buster, he is a Partridge Oprington, about a year old now, there are a few in this area but unfortunately I cannot get one to you, I have spares. We recently hatched out a mixed batch or eggs, 14 chicks from 15, unfortunately one had a dicky leg and had to be destroyed, abother died at a few weeks, however, the others are all growing well, I am really pleased with him, he does lack a tail, a
neighbours alsation got into our field two months ago and killed my buff cockrell and charlie escaped but left his tail feathers behind, still they will regrow next time. Thanks.

I love the questions and I love the answers, the Orphs sound great! Maybe some next time...but the Delightful Dozen will have to do for now - I am already over my limit!

This is one of my Buffs...They don't make chickens any sweeter than Buff Orpingtons....This is Rose....

Thanks, Halo. Emily was taking a break from her "broodiness" right then and the sun was shining on her so I took the pic. She has turned out to be a great mama.

Decided to post pics of my fav orp since she was being camera hoggy today. Wet out to get some shots of my buff brahma and Beauty Queen was demanding to be photographed. Not sure when we started calling her Beauty Queen but since she acts like one it fits her perfectly.

Here she is my Blue x Buff Orpington snacking with everyone.
