Amazondoc, KingsCalls got them and I also got a flock that is staying with a friend of mine. They are almost a month old now and they came from Dick Horsmann out in PA, I think. Mostly blacks and two blues out of the lot of 24 chicks.
Since the standard orps are so huge, are the bantam orps relatively large compared to other bantams? Do they lay relatively large eggs compared to other bantams?
Now I can't wait until my blue wyandottes get older. I ordered some other kinds of pullet chicks with them and they all turned out to be buff orps. I see a little buff cockeral in there too. Not that I need another rooster but Beauty just saved him from the freezer.
Some of those blue wyandotte chicks have straight combs so I could do a blue orp look alike with a little choosy breeding.
