Why would somebody SHOOT my chicken??? *Update - Found a Bullet!!!!!*

Hope the follow up activity will catch or discourage the shooters. I would stress the fact that multiple shots fired on your property could have led to a family member being shot.

Recently a local city caught a man who had been shooting at cars randomly since October 2009.We all had our ideas on who it might be.I thought teens that were bored.Turns out it was a 65 yo man who used to work at the local Ford factory,and was just ticked off about the state of the world...so he decides to drive around at all hours shooting at anyone.

Definitely take a picture of the bullet before and after removal.Just ofr the heck of it.

I am sorry...I had someone shoot my dog inside my yard once... We never did find out who did it but I have an idea....people are just plain mean and stupid sometimes... I hope they find who did this..hugs

Antisocial Personality Disorder... No respect or remorse for anything but themselves and sadly these "freaks" I believe someone called them, don't stop until they are in jail. I hope they find them and I am SO sorry for your girl.

It is unfair to lose a beloved pet it is tremendously sad to lose one in such a horrific way. Please be careful. People that do things like this are extremely unpredictable...​

That is a wonderful find, and it proves they were risking human injury by firing at that level. There might even be a print on that slug...

Walk the side of the road to see if you can find shell casings but if you do don't touch or disturb them.

Don't contact media either, if it was kids that can prevent them from bragging about what they did and that is the thing that usually catches them up, their mouth.

If you have a small local newspaper call them and ask them to do a story on it. They could add how far a bullet travels and mention that it's a good thing no children were hurt. Our little paper would have at least 4 paragraphs on such an incident. Any kids that would brag to their friends would think twice because of the embarrassment the article would cause.
