Why would somebody SHOOT my chicken??? *Update - Found a Bullet!!!!!*

Yay that you found the bullet!!! I hope they can trace it back to somebody and they get jail time and/or be put in a mental facility. I'm still in disbelief. A CHICKEN? Who shoots a chicken? Geeze. More hugs for you.

That would be very disconcerting since I am often in my coops with my birds. Sure don't want anyone shooting through the window or anywhere on my place. Hope she's getting some action from the cops. Next time, if there is a next time, those idiots could shoot more than one poor chicken and a wall.

Sounds like they were shooting at/towards her coop and house both in the same direction.

Was it the bullet casing ( the golden part of the bullet) If so look on the bottom for a number...It will probably say .22 or .223 or 5.56 NATO

The number on the bottom of it will tell you what caliber bullet it was that was shot.....

I'm sorry but some of this stuff that happens these days just stops to amaze me....

I was pretty upset and shaken on Friday, but I'm not one to stay upset for long. I'm mad now that I know they were shooting toward my house and that they hit my coop

and I'm being careful outside with my eyes wide open, but otherwise I'm OK.

Sorry to say, no new updates. I haven't heard back from the deputies yet and I just got home, so I should probably call them. I don't know if they were on duty yesterday or not since it was Sunday. The bullet is still in the side of my coop...I'm still waiting...waiting.......
