Wild or dumped ducks?

I'm sorry to say I have still had no luck- many family members think I'm cruel for trying to catch her, they think she's perfectly happy where she is (they have no knowledge of ducks but have done everything they can to scare me out of attempting). Thus I have been denied help from all but one person, who was only there for "moral support" and to divert any attention from passers by. I have continued trying when I have a day free to do so, and today was such a day-

I got very close, I managed to get her over on the land, I blocked her from the water, and I kept her there, but could not get close enough. Twice I failed this method, before resorting to the net, which proved more difficult than any other method.
I'm still not wanting to give up on her, by the look of her today, she seems injured and extremely pigeon toed which seems to be causing difficulty walking. But it is just impossible for me to do alone. I am reaching out to some more people, but if they can't help me then I'm afraid it may end here

I sure wish I could help you, she really needs rescuing. It's only a matter of time for her. I hope you can find someone actually willing to help and try not to mention anything to those who have said things to discourage you since they aren't knowledgeable in such things as to why domestic ducks usually don't live long in the wild because they were not created to live in the wild.
you'll have to work on gaining her trust but it can happen.

I know, it's been on my mind a lot today, I just feel awful for her. Whether anyone will help or not, I think I'll have to try again on Sunday, next day off. I just cant stop worrying about her. But I dont know what else I can try, my closest attempt was with her on land, so I think I'll just have to try that again

Is there an actual rescue group in your area? they could help you catch her.
I contacted multiple rescues, but unfortunately no one is willing to lend time or resources, a lot are actually refusing to help/catch/take in birds entirely at the moment due to influenza. There is a person that I know of though, who has rescued domestic ducks that were dumped in the past, she lives locally, but I haven't heard back from her. If she does get back to me, she may be willing to help with her capture, I figured it was worth a shot
