Wild unknow species of baby bird

Can you get a better pic of its head and beak? I think it may be a pigeon. Are you in a city type area?

ETA: although it is awfully small for a pigeon and the feathers are more like a sparrow's .... hmmm.

I live out in the country. It had a white top on the point of the beak on the top and bottom. But I do not have it anymore because it passed this morning.:hit:hit

So sorry for your loss, your bird may have been injured when it fell to the ground, internal injuries can't really be seen... Still, read all those links, and next time, you will have a better idea of what to do... I am thinking you may have had a fledgling Song Sparrow, but the fact that it was just feathering out, very hard to tell... Leg color, size, markings, tail shape, type/shape of bill all can give clues as to what kind of baby bird you have.
