Will a 6' high privacy fence keep in chickens?

I have an easter egger that manages to get over a 6 foot fence THROUGH crossed wires on top (to deter hawks) and with very little room to take off.. Not sure how she does it but she does.. My leghorns can easily clear 6 feet.My big fat brahmas can barely get up the ramp to the coop. So yep, depends on the chicken. :)

Thank you everyone. We're talking 6 hens max, so wing clipping would be easy to stay on top of.

Several of my birds can fly up and perch on my 6' chain link that surrounds their run: EEs, Lakenvelder, Andalusian, etc. Not the brahmas or orpingtons - too big.

I periodically clip the 'fliers' wings to keep them in (I don't want my dogs to get them).

Check on the breed(s) you want to get and how well they fly. Lighter breeds especially are usually good fliers.

No, but my Rooster came right back because he know where the food was (. . . and hens).
