Im letting him hang out a while. No change. I will keep a close eye on him all night round the clock and play it by ear. Seems to be doing good still

if his beak is still moving like you said "chewing gum" thats him absorbing the yolk.....give him more time. He will start to jerk his head up when he is ready to hatch like he is trying to break the shell.

oh wow! usually once an egg has even a minor crack it doesn't make it far, but since this little guy is a fighter!

any pics? maybe try play some hen clucking sounds from youtube and see if it encourages him to come out faster
