2 baby pigeons are going to hatch in 2 weeks. I have 9 week ameraucanas. Will they peck them to death? Should I move the nest with the parents? What should I do?

Umm? so they are with chickens? Not reccomended, but is possible to work. Is the nest out of reach of the chickens? If so, they will be okay, but move them when they are two weeks along with their parents to a new cage. because if you dont, the babies will jump out of the nest and be killed. I hope this helps!

They made a nest in the top part of the coop, and the two ameraucanas go up there at night to roost. How should I move them out? The pigeons don't like to be near anybody and if I transport them out i'm afraid the parents will fly away. I just got them recently (I had three but now I'm down to two) and one already flew the coop.

Chickens will eat anything basically and pigeons aren't born like chicks, they're born like songbirds. If one falls out, especially the first few days, it will be eaten.

Well, if you move them while they have eggs, or even young babies, it's unlikely they will keep taking care of them. this situation isn't good. How many days in are the pigeon eggs? It might be best to pull them, until you have a better coop to care for them.

what do you mean how should i move them out? you can hold them they way you are supposed to, like in this picture. Bad picture, sorry. But hold the back legs straight back, and support the chest.

The eggs are about 2-3 days old. I can't catch the pigeons because they are scared of humans and don't like to be touched. If I try to hold them like that they will just fly away.

I hate to sound mean, but I would toss the eggs out, and replace with fake ones. I'm not sure they would ever have a chance of making it in the coop you have. How big is the coop? They shouldn't be that hard to catch. If you hold them correctly, like I showed you, they can't escape, as long as you hold the legs straight back, and the wings in. What are you feeding the pigeons?

I hope this helps!
