will adult utility king pigeon return to new loft?

I recently bought two adult utility kings and I've had them for about a month now, and I was wondering when or if I could let them fly freely around my yard. They are both about one year old and can fly pretty well in a 6x8x8 wire cage.

One pigeon keeper's adage is, "Never fly birds that you can not afford to lose." If you want to breed these birds, don't fly them - fly their young. Raptors are a big problem. They put me out of the pigeon business.
