People. History shows us that the wording of anything will be stretched and altered by the most bizarre logic to mean whatever the bureaucrats want it to mean. Case in point: the infamous "general welfare" clause. This bill is so vague they don't really need to stretch it that much.

They may realize that the American people can only be pushed so far. Or they might find out that the American people are willing to hand over all responsibility to the Federal Government, and are willing to sacrifice any amount of freedom for so-called "safety" and "security."

The choice is yours. Show them that our Founding Fathers didn't fight in vain.

So I heard this law passed. Does that now mean I cant go to my aunts farm and get produce from her. She gives it to all the family and sells it at farmers markets when she has extra.

It would appear that this bill passed with ammendments in the Senate. Here's a little more info at this site:

It still has to be voted on by your Congressman and then your president would have to sign it for it to become law.

Well, if they set up a thing like my city did... The Code Rangers... neighbors TRAINED in how to rat out their neighbors...

Heck just set up a hotline and let everyone know they can snitch anonymously and cause their neighbor (or person who annoyed them) all kinds of grief... Sadly, I don't doubt they'd get plenty of calls... just like the CR program here has plenty of volunteers just itching to wreck as much legal damage as they can.

I know. The referenced site is always a day behind. I'm sure that it is posted somewhere by now, just not on the govtrack site. Sometimes after all the amendments and other stuff tacked on, it doesn't even resemble the original bill. I want to see how it has changed, too...
