So I'm guessing my ducks are a dark mallard and a white mallard. I built a coop for them and gave them a place to swim, but will they still fly away in the winter?

you may find they will fly away well the drakes may

when it comes to breeding season

and then they loose their flight feathers so wont come back for a while

I guess my big concern is if they fly away what are the chances that my spoiled ducklings will survive without me feeding them.

if he flys away for a mate then he most prob will be fine to forrage for food

alot of wild mallards can survive long lifes in the wild
