Will My Newly Integrated Cockerel Come Home?

So, I love to free range my chickens, but I just integrated a new cockerel two days ago. He mates with my girls and they all adore him. The question is, if I let them free range tonight will he come home with them?

He might. On the other hand he might not. Two days is not very long... you might want to wait a week, just to be sure. He could become confused and not understand where he should go. If he were mine, I would wait... that has been my experience.

Mine have always stayed right with the hens. If the hens went to roost, he was there too.

Do the 'start late in day'.
First time ranging, let them out an hour before roost time,
they won't go far and you won't have long to worry before they head to roost.
Next day a bit earlier...and so on.
