Will pullets start to lay in the winter?

My Ameraucana was born July 31 and she started laying about 2 weeks ago. Beautiful pale ivory eggs, can't wait till they turn blue green!

We had six that started to lay at 20 weeks, which was about a year ago exactly. Dead of winter here.

Four Old English born Aug 7th...someone started laying the first week in January, and all are laying now. No lights.

my 4 are 5 months old and the BSL has been laying for 2 wks. one every day! the SLW started squatting on sat., so i guess she's next! no artificial light.

My RIR laid her first egg on December 21st! She was 6 months old. It was very cold here in NY at the time, and there was no artificial light in the coop. She pretty much lays an egg everyday at this point. Good luck!

Yep. One of my EEs laid her first egg (brown) the day before Thanksgiving. The other EE laid her first egg(green) the day before Christmas. They are both seasonal apparently...can't wait to see what I get for the Fourth Of July

The Sussex started laying the first of December and I just got FOUR first Faverolles eggs TODAY! Woohoo! That first egg feeling never gets old

When we got our chicks last year they were all were a week or so old, they all started laying just this month at 8 and 81/2 months old! Finally!
