Williams-Sonoma Chicken Coops

We built one twice the size for $150...granted it's not as "pretty" but it houses the girls just fine.

Just the coop on that page is $879, the run is over $300...plus over $100 shipping for the two of them.

I love the look of them...they come pre-weathered. .lol

Thats like the BMW of chicken coops, small, doesn't hold alot of occupants, expensive, not useful for much except impressing your friends.

I'd rather have the F150 of chicken coops, big, useful, and cheap.

My coop is alot bigger, built to withstand hurricanes, and cost $150 in supplies.

Sadly, it is boasting that it has enough room for 6 chickens, and the photos are showing full sized birds. That thing could barely hold 2 or 3.

Insanely overpriced. $880 for just the small house and then $400 for the tiny run. And frankly I see some similarities to the cheap Chinese coops sold at other online stores.

Not sure what the OP's take is, but to me this isn't about "is the coop good/bad/pricey, etc."

It is a demonstration of how backyard chickening is becoming so mainstream. (Oh, I know I should qualify that 'mainstream' w/ some mention of class and recognition that WS is not used ubiquitously but I'm too busy counting eggs.)
