Wow that is an expensive chicken! Last summer there was a CL ad for 20 golden comets, they wanted $250 for the whole flock. I emailed him back to make sure it wasn't a typo. Those chickens were listed for months, I am not sure he ever sold them.

O. M. G. Just when you think you've seen them all, someone comes up with something like this!!! LMAO!

My all time favorite didn't have anything to do with chickens tho - it was dogs, and the breed was "copper sandal". I was like "??????" and then it hit me - COCKER SPANIEL...

What I can't figure out is why people think "bannies" are a breed? People ask me for "bannies" all the time, and I tell them I've got several types, and ask what kind of BANTAM they want - they look at me like I've got a third eye or something...

OK....here is another.....actual Craigslist post from the Dothan, AL area. <shaking head>

white long horn chickens - $8

Actually, I've seen a lot of chickens advertised for ten dollars apiece or more, especially if young and just about to start laying (I can't even get $7/each here for young POL pullets, but I guess you can in some places). This ad is only $12.50/pullet, so not that bad in some places, I would think. Maybe his mistake was in advertising the flock price rather than the individual bird price?

This is a VERY funny thread!
