My googling said to avoid deworming in the first trimester - which would be right now if they did typical fall mating.

And to pick a dewormer that was safe for pregnant does - and there are a lot of them but it's beneficial to deworm later in pregnancy.

How long will they stay in the temp pen?

I'm not sure. Right now they're in a old (but very solid) pig pen clearing brush during the day and I move them inside a building at night. It's plenty of space so I'm not in a rush. The fencing in the pasture where they'll be permanently needs a lot of work and I'm hesitant to put them in there until I can get a LGD with them. They'll have a 3 sided structure with a roof (which is what they had at their old home).

In chicken news, the chicks are the same size as the adults now but are still acting like little babies constantly "under" Mama.

My "Special" EE laid what appears to be lash material inside an egg. She's acting perfectly normal and all her other eggs in the past 2 weeks were fine, including today's. I'll keep a close eye. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/mass-inside-egg.1680072/#post-28912234

In goat news, the girls are doing really well. Maggie has warmed up to me and she will accept snacks and pets. She turns her nose up at all treats except raisins. Daisy will eat anything. I tried feeling both of their bellies today (right side is where the babies would be) but didn't feel anything so who knows. I purchased shears and will be giving them their first hoof trimming. Lots of youtube and articles on that but it's still scary for me so trying to find someone who will demonstrate.

Goats at work!

Mama pullet officially kicked her babies to the curb! 11 weeks old and I guess it's time for them to get out of her basement and get a job! The girls are the same size as mom but the cockerel is bigger now.
Apparently your mama and Sansa made a plan🤣

Here are the "babies" now. Lighting isn't very good so I grabbed a better one of the cockerel. These 3 are kinda feral so hard to take pics. @wrathsfarm

In goat news, I'm picking up John Deere and Kubota on Friday so I guess goat math is a thing...
Typical broody raised chicks, they are antisocial until way later. All of my keepers this year were broody raised, and they're pretty chill now. My roo is also broody raised and a very respectful good boy. Sooo, you're gonna have your hands full of goats🤣

Good to hear they calm down. I went to collect eggs a little later than normal and the cockerel made a danger call! Because of me! I didn't know if I should be proud of him or concerned he thinks I'm dangerous.

Oh yes... the goats are pretty fun. Daisy and Maggie are like funny puppies. They love getting pets and they know the routine now so when they see me coming with the leash, they run up to me and wait for me to clip the leash on their collars. It's so freaking cute!
