Still no baby goats! This is definitely worse than waiting for my first egg. Crazy thing yesterday: I saw a big lump sticking out on her side and when I laid my hand over it, it kicked me! I could physically see the baby! I know this is the miracle of life and everything but I'm not going to lie... it was pretty creepy.

In chicken news, they're all doing great. I've been giving them more freedom to free range and have the auto door opening every afternoon even if I'm not home. I know there's risk but they seem much happier. There's plenty of hiding places. Egg production has increased and the yolks are a deep yellow since apparently winter is over and everything is turning green.

I saw a bald eagle yesterday! The wing span was the size of the road! So cool.

Steadily cleaning up the new property and training Beau.

I wish! She's still holding hostages. Her udders are nice and big now and I noticed some discharge but the goat geniuses told me to cool my jets and just be patient.

I see you're over here on byc cooling your jets her udder is definitely getting bigger! The mucus you're seeing is probably just her losing her mucus plug which they do over the last few weeks.
