Huckleberry watched Rocket's exchange with the two roosters. I didn't expect to see mother here, what a coincidence. Huckleberry thought. He didn't really care much for his mother, she had never stood up for him or his brothers or his sisters before, or helped them at all. Huckleberry and his siblings had been raised by Littledove, their grandmother. Huckleberry decided to see what happened, then report back to Quickpeck and Rosewing.

Snowfire the leghorn rooster and Starlight the pheasant flew down from the top of a tree, and started searching for a flock to join.

Snowberry, Wolfclaw, Stripes, and Chipmunk hid in a bush, because Chipmunk had just seen a hawk soaring overhead. "We really need to join a flock, before we become chicken dinner!" Wolfclaw pointed out in his usual, obvious, way.
(Can I change Wolfclaw's name to Stormy? I don't think "Wolfclaw" fits him.)

Hercules had been spying from a tree. He hopped into the following ones and finally dropped down in front of them. "I see you are a proud little hen. You are a bantam, and being so, I, Hercules, leader of Oster Flock, would invite you to join our flock of mini-chickens." He announced. "You have a choice, Rocket. You can join Oster, and be with your own kind. Or you can be with these others, and wander alone with them. I will not make this choice for you, and I am comfortable with either one you choose.
