As they were preparing to leave the next morning and flee into the wilderness, Squirrel abruptly disappeared.
Timber never found her.
Blaming himself and drowning in a flood of self-hate, Timber somehow found himself in the midst of the flocks and being recruited for Norra Flock. Timber went along in a haze, still fuming about his beloved sister. Somehow, he became one of the highest-ranking Ground-Guards in his flock. Timber finally shoved his sister's memory down into the unexplored caverns of his memory and set about proving he could be the best young guard he can be.
But Squirrel will forever linger in his mind...
