We don't have color rules or limitations, merely some folks have voiced their opinions.... I myself am using many types of blues, like 8 or 9 different ones per block. Its an intregal part of my block. I skipped all christmas themes, but I don't intend to limit my colors otherwise. I hope everyone is ok with that, but I don't think we can be too pickey with 14 different quilters. I guarantee you that we can't possible hope to match shades. I'm sure your colors will be fine.

I didn't mean match each other's shades. I only meant the shades within the individual's blocks. Sorry about that.

Marty, What part of east Kansas are you in? My DH is from Payola and he has family all over. Did I ask you this once before? It seems like I asked someone about Kansas. We go back every year or two since he has a sister 95 and he has children and grandchildren in Emporia, Newton and Wichita. I didn't do any quilting today as I had to get out the newsletter for my husbands Masonic Lodge.

Dear Lacy Blues,

Your note made me laugh! I'm in England but I find your place names funny, though I must admit that some of ours are too. Pratt's Bottom and Blubberhouses are the first two here in England that spring to mind. The other thing that I find funny is the pronounciation of the same name. For example, I was born in Birmingham which is the second largest city in England, right in the middle. We pronounce it without the 'h' so a native would say BearminG'um with emphasis on the g in the middle. Someone from London would say Birmin'am and you all say Burrminghhaam. People from the English Birmingham call themselves Brummies and the town is known to us as Brummigem (shortened to Brum). I don't really know why and was astounded when I moved away from Brum and no-one seemed to know where I was talking about if I called it Brum. Life is so much fun. I lived for 5 years in Yorkshire were people tended to say aye instead of yes. I soon stopped saying aye when I moved to London as people would say to me 'I what?' thinking that I was starting a sentence.

Other words are so strange too. What is escrow? mentioned in Baustin's note? I don't think I've ever heard it used here. Is it the same as contracts being exchanged? Its like you have realtors and we have estate agents. Oh I could go on forever. Maybe we should look for differences in quilting terms! Batting & wadding, basting & tacking........

I've never understood why you have public bathrooms without baths. We have public toilets!...............

escrow is... I believe... the contract or the monies already paid on your house when you buy it. Good thing I have a husband with brains... my thinker does not run true to course in these areas!

Now give me a pile of lumber, some hammers and nails, screws and powered screwdrivers and some plywood... and I could go all day!

I don't know why we call them bathrooms either. LOL Most of the time we're there, it isn't for a bath. I like restroom, or toilet is ok.

Hi Ladies I hope to get my fabric out this weekend. My daughter is having some problems so I am staying at her house. She has been having headaches. Hopefully it will be better soon. The baby is doing great though.
