Winter Quilt Block Swap 2013

I love the blocks you all have posted! The colors are beautiful. I can't wait to get them all and start setting them into a quilt! Third grade has kept me busy lately--when is it ever slow--and I admit that in the winter when the sun sets at 5 I am asleep by 8. December in our house is pathetic, hubbs and I and the two spry kids are out by 8! Our family is definetly driven by the sunlight, and the lack of it makes us sleepy....We have a 3 day weekend for Veteran's Day and I can't wait to sew!!!

So glad that you all are well and made it through Sandy. I sure hope you are well now with the second storm to hit. I can't imagine being stranded like that with no power and now snow and cold temperatures!

Prayers for our east cost quilters are definelty being sent out.

Abby

How many blocks are we making? I have to figure out how much fabric to buy

How much fabric did you other quilters buy? I know it will not be the same yardage for everyone, I was just curious.
I think I ended up with about 4 yards to make the 14 blocks. I used some fabric I had already so I could be wrong.

I have finaly chosen my block. I have cut out some junk fabric to make a sample block. It is a paper pieced block. I will sew it tonight after the kids go to bed. I don't think I will post pics. I want it to be surprise
