Ooh!! I LOVE this kind of quilting! I find I myself like to make more "canvass" type blocks, and less traditional ones. I might have to make a special big block exchange after Christmas just for folks who are interested in this type of work. On my own, I'm making a quilt of my house/grounds to hang above my fireplace, instead of a painting. I really love quilting so much, since it truly allows all types of artistsry on fabric. I love the textural feel of quilt art.Dear Marty, I am having great trouble contacting you via pm's to continue our house talk. The site keeps telling me to put in message when I try to send even though I have. I particularly wanted to tell you about the talk by Effie Galletly I'm going to tonight at one of my quilting groups, Pearoom Quilters, and tomorrow I am going to a workshop with her. Look her up at http://effiegalletly.co.uk She does mostly landscapes. Mary
