Winter Quilt Block Swap 2013

That was my granddaughter in that vehicle. The Angels were with her that morning.

Not being able to square them up is fine with me. Hope you're better soon.

Ladies,

I will be finishing up my blocks this weekend, I wanted to share this with you. Wednesday of this week my youngest daughter borrowed my 2008 Dodge Durango to go visit my oldest daughter because her little car broke down. Long story short, she was hit head on by a dump truck on the left side of the vehicle. God is good, she walked away with only soreness and bruises. To think that in a split second your whole world can be turned upside down. I am sure the outcome would have been differant if she was driving her car. Take the time to tell your love ones how much they mean to you.
Your right, God watches over us. Glad you loaned her your bigger vehicle! I had a terrible wreck at 16, and I walked away from a car that looked like nobody could survive. I look at the pics now and then and just shake my head.

I'm glad you all are here and safe.

baustin, paulsmuffen, wow the connection, how cool and glad she was ok, and we do take our loved ones for granted. I tell my son and dau and my husband I love them everytime I get ready to hang up the phone, son is 25 and he is in the Navy and to hear him say mom I love you is sooooo special coming from a young man, course it is very special from dau and husband too but I'm sure you get where I'm trying to go with this.

What is going on around here? This block swap is just awful. Not enough fabric, not enough blocks, hurts ourselves so we can't sew, our kids getting in accidents (hows that go unforeseen circumstances befall us all), my sewing machine breaking, if I forgot anything let me know. I am getting mine done no matter what!

Ok now there is fifteen of us do we keep one of ours and send 14?

No, send all 15, then I seperate them into groups. Its very much harder if I have to try to remember who kept their block and who didn't. Almost a sure thing I'd mess it up, so I always ask everyone to send every block.

One thing for sure...we aren't quitters. No matter what befalls us we still keep on quilting. We are dedicated to our quilts, friends and family. Speaking of family. I became a great grandma on Friday. Steven Cash weighs 10.8 lbs and is 21 3/4 in. long born by c-section. Here is a pic I was sent via facebook. I can't wait to go see him. Hope everyone gets well, gets their sewing machines fixed and there are no more accidents.
