Balefire, if you can go stay with hubby...the blocks are way after he comes home...Hugs girl!
x200Balefire, I am praying for DH and hope he'll be home soon.
The fabric sounds fine, hon. Yes, we should all prewash/soak/shrink in whatever way seems best to us, all of our fabric being sewing, so there will be no unhappy surprises after the first wash.Ok, I have to ask...
I've been searching out fabrics that I want to use for my block. The one that I found that I really really like is not cotton. So, here's my question... If I did a star pattern where there is a fussy cut kind of thing in the middle, would it be alright for that piece only to be nylon/polyester? It's a sheer fabric but I would put white cotton behind it. The only issue I'm thinking would be the heat of ironing it. Being nylon/polyester, it wouldn't shrink (I don't think) and we should be using pre-washed fabrics for our blocks so they won't shrink or bleed color, right?
Let me know please, as I'll have to find something else if this is not acceptable.
