Wintering Quail on The Ground Advice?

How should I go about wintering my quail pen? Will they be ok if I just throw a tarp over them or rig up some kind of tent structure? I’m mostly worried about them getting buried under snow, but I’m in Canada so we can get -30C.

Can you move them to a building or garage for winter?

-30C (-22F) is quite cold for a long period of time.

-30 is awfully cold. If it was down to 0, I'd say put some boxes in there as well as cover it, but with temps that low, I'd want to give them a heat source.

They would definitely get covered over by snow. Also, waterers would definitely freeze, and you'd need easy access to the waterer and feeder. A shed, barn, garage would be best to house them in for the winter!
