You sound very determined to make this work. Woohoo! I'm proud of you and I hardly know you! Good luck with the pre-op diet. Will you have to be cooking for family while you are on the liquid meals?
NO thank goodness... and its only temporary... two weeks to shrink my liver.... Then clear liquids after for a few days. Then Slowly ramping up to the new regime.... Once up to speed I will only be able to consume seven ounces at a time.

My appetite will be gone though. So will have to eat no matter what on schedual. BUT My type two diabetes will go away, My Blood pressure will go back to normal... My edema will be gone .... Some things wont be changed. The nerve damage to my legs and feet will still be there my eyesight will still be messed up. I used to have 20/10.... partiof that is old age Developing Cataracts but the other part is due to Diabetes.

My long standing Depression will ease.... but not go away completely... Some of it was a function of my health but most of it was a function of life....

I bought a fantastic blender that actually will cook soup right in the blender... And I love soups... I hope to eat a lot of High protien mushroom, Asparagus, beef and Chicken and seafood soups.... So for what ever soup base I come up with using unflavored protien powder all I have to do is Throw in the veggies and puree them then flip the switch to cook.... Its from an asian manufacturer so I can even cook meats in with it.

When I buy any thing I research madly. I wanted something that could make smoothies and soups... This one fit the bill.

It also can make Almond and coconut milk or just about any nut milk... Plust Grind Cocoa and Coffee.

I wanted a ninja because it can puree whole fruits and veggies.... for Fruit and veggie juice without loosing all the fiber. But Dang those blades scare me.

With one single pound of carrots I was able to make carrot juice..... Yummo.

I know two people who had the gastric sleeve several years ago, and they are still thin. One of them was over 400 when she started, and is 165 now. Of course if she got some skin removed she would weigh less, but the skin is not a problem for her. Her weight loss slowed and she joined weight watchers and that helped her lose the rest! Good luck to you!

So far I have lost eighty ish... I havent weighed in in about three weeks.

I was almost 400.... I was 378 when I started the insurance requirements. By the time I got the surgery I had already lost 50. The surgery was June 11th.

I am already a lifetime member of weight watchers.... I want to start attending classes again soon.

I believe there is a target time to having reached goal... Like three months before the skiin adjustment can occur. But I have a major hernia to be repaired first...

One thing at a time....
