The little quarts stone should take me a short time to make. Depending on detail..
Same goes for the other stone. or stones.... LOL

The quartz wants a dangle to go with it... I have Glass beads for a gentle pop of color. And the bale will be simple. I always do the back just in case the necklace gets put on backward or flipped around.

I am waiting for some back spasms to stop but then I am heading out to the car to draw.

the stones are approximately to scale the wire is not.
twenty gauge and 28 gauge are my choices so Very fine

I have to go now to take mom to Jenny Craig.... SMH

Thanks when i was briefly an art major untill I had a teacher tell me I would never be an artist... but for that semester I took Composition, Drawing, and Metal sculpture... The two classes that helped me most was the Composition and the Metal Sculpture. In Composition I gleaned what it is that makes and draw people to a painting or a photo. and how the brain works with that that draws the eyes. In Metal sculpture I learned how to cut and weld steel as well as bending and forming of components.

I became a Mechanical Designer from those two classes. The drawing part I was enthusiastic for until that teacher told me I could never be an artist. I learned more from PBS drawing classes. This was in the early seventies.

Quick sketching is a tool that is useful in Designing because you can render an idea enough to explain visually. I can do them in a bout twenty minutes. if I am not distracted.

I had a nursing instructor tell me that " I'd never make it " during my clinical rotation, When I graduated , I just looked at her and said nothing..... some people don't belong in the teaching profession. You should be encouraged! NOT discouraged! Your work is beautiful.

I agree but some teachers use the technique to light a fire under their students... I too am not a subscriber to that philosophy.
