I had 2 replys to my c.l. post with the price list.. both people asked how much the chickens were?? didn't they read the post?
I don't even bother replying to people like that..
what part don't they understand??

Evening all! Got LOTS of BS Salsa (that's what I labeled it...stands for Brent and Susie's Salsa) I must have really measured right...got 12 pints after quadrupling the recipe...and man is it ever good! The only thing I changed a bit was to put hot peppers from the garden instead of the ground cayenne and I added black pepper and fresh cilantro and oregano...just a little; my second crop isnt growing too rapidly! I can always add more to taste when we open it up. I had tomatoes left so I made up 3 quarts of 1/4ed and 2 quarts of juice. My little canning shelf that I showed you guys last year is full to bursting! I cannot put these new ones on there...guess I need another shelf! I am officially out or pint jars now...I might just have to buy more! Guess I will check St Vinnies tomorrow.

I am planning on going to the show in Portage...I am meeting up with Carol and Cheryl and her family. We arent set yet with plans but we have a few days yet

Is anyone else planning on attending? Gee, we could have a "mid-state" meet up right there!

Cind I hope you just told that hen to stay put and do her job! I love when my hens go broody and just appear with babies in tow; no worrying, no waiting, no messing with them...just SURPRISE!

Well just lost my post !!! This time was my fault !!

Tried doing a search in one of my toolbars thinking it would open a new window. I was going to see how to spell porcelain !!! Well now I know but have to start this post out all over !!

So it will be shorte but just as sweet !!

My showgirl is doing good. She is getting stronger. She still has her flipping out episodes but she is grooming herself and interested in whats going on. I put another silkie hen I have that was getting stomped on by the young agressive rooster !! Those young roosters sure aren't that gentle

I also have a porcelain dutch bantam hen that was the roosters favorite !!! She is getting pampered now as well

I watched my Doc Hammill DVD on Horse Driving today. What a good DVD. I saw him in person in Madison a few years ago so I knew he would be good. Can't wait for the next one to come in the mail from GiddyupFlix. Hope the next ones of his are available.

He had a mule that looked like the one on CL the other day !!! I think Jim should get the Mule. It would look good in the backseat !!!

SIS do you make your own pie crust too?? That's alot of tin pans. Would those aluminum pans work just as good? I think they are smaller though right. I cheat and use the crusts that come two in a box.

Care to share your apple pie recipe ??

Well, I promised this would be shorter then the first so I will tell you about Pumpkin bowling with Buttons next time !!

Oh and I won't be down for the bash on Oct 1st.

I have to come down for an appointment in Madison on the 14th, then on the 17th I have two appointments in Kenosha and Milwaukee. So I will be down there the whole weekend. I can't leave this place that long. I tried to schedule my appointments for that Friday or Monday but I couldn't get anything close !!

Sure glad I got to meet alot of you at the bash up here. He Bigzio and SIS are we going to make that place our yearly Bash site ??? That was a great place !!! To bad there isn't a place like that down south. I think it is going to be a bit cold by Oct 1st for a picnic type bash ???? Can you tell I live Up NORT ???

Yea, I know you got to watch the door, something slides a little and the door may not close... after "the incident" I only had uprights, until now, this chest freezer came with the house. What type of gecko dose your daughter have? I'm getting salsa envy!

Well, She stayed on the nest and when I closed up she was doing the "cooing thing"

When I went down at midnight (I had to get something I left when I closed) I heard peeping too loud to come from an egg!

Now if a few more hatch and she figures out what to do... we'll be OK!

I think 1 of 2 things happen that she didn't go back right away.... 1) when she went potty when she first came out it was pretty watery, maybe she felt she might have to go again and didn't want to mess up the brooder. (she seems to have held it 'till I let her out all this time

) or 2) she went to talk to Jasmine to find out what happens next!

Well, got more grapes done! Night!

Good Morning Everybody! Cind congrats on the hatch hope more are on the way! PM me your crust recipe please.

Mine is excellent but always on the lookout for better. TO your salsa looks yummie! Got a call last night from the DD's beau he got a big doe last night and am heading over there this morning to help him cut it up. Going to cube some up and teach him to make canned veni in the next couple of days. Plus taking my pickled fish recipe to him. He says he a lot of northerns in the freezer.

If these hens don't start laying by the time next spring comes I'm replacing them all with black australorps!

Well except for Goldie and Brownie and Bit$h and....
