YEah Amy...we had cats picked off on the road too...you've seen how close we are to the road...that is why I have 10 in the house I guess...I just couldnt stand seeing them hit!
CC--either day is good for me for the bash...maybe FT can come too if it is on the 15th? You will be cruising right by the park when you go from Madison to Milwaukee! Then you could drop my roo, some quail for Amy and that Ameraucana from Jim for Carol...let's see...any chance you can get to Eu Claire and pick up the Modern Games from Tiki? Or maybe you can attend Tiki? Would love to meet you!
Jim I hope you are really busy...good thing your DW and my DH dont frequent this board...

We might both be in trouble!

I learned something new today too...the synthetic form of Methionine smells like sauerkraut! YUK--what a smell at the mill! (and I LIKE sauerkraut!) They were making some type of dairy cattle feed for a mill in Madison and did it ever smell bad! Tony said they would be making it every Wednesday so I guess I will try to stay out of town on that day!

Yes 287 is the amount of virds I have outside ATM. All types...didnt count the wild ones though. OK--I am heading to town (again) lids and a vanilla bean is what I seek...later! Terri O

Thanks for posting this. Anyone ever go to this one or the small animal sales. I would like to get 2 slw but dont want to go places that have sell puppy mill type animals

Hi again, I have been to the PK auction.. It is a consignment auction.. the last time I was there , all they had were rabbits and birds.. at auction, there are no guarantees that puppies and cats will not be sold.. just because people are selling cats and dogs, does not mean that they are puppy mills..

I just washed all the water containers for all the pens.. It is so nice outside today.. and the next week looks dry.. I hope the mud goes away for awhile.

I might just put the back blade on the tractor and go scrape some of that mud out from in front of the guinea pen .. I also should call my friend and see if he can bring me a load of granite..

found another pullet egg in the guinea pen this morning.. we will have to show those young gals where the nests are..

I noticed a couple more pullet eggs mixed in with the daily collection also, so a few of them have already found the nests on their own..

I took a few photos of some of the birds today.. too bad I can't post them on byc.. I will post them on my website group..

Yeah, TO, sometimes I have to scroll real fast when Annie walks into the room so she cannot see what I am typing.. LOL

I might make another batch of catsup.. we had some for supper last night.. I thought it was too mild.. I think maybe a little nutmeg might bring up the flavor a bit.
........jiminwisc..........

TO I hope you dont have to far to drive to the bash.

Thank You everyone for the condolences on Boo. He will be greatly missed.

I have a pair of BLUE Rocks if some one wants them. Femal lays eggs 1 1/2 yrs old. Male is just starting to be roosterish 6 months. They are pretty but not SQ. Will give bath and ivermectin before I let them go.

I already wormed and treated them last month but Just in case

I got them from halo on BYC so if you go to her page you can see picks of her stock. These are not for butchering. Their too young and pretty.

I have seen halo's birds and they are nice looking, very tempting but I not sure where another breed would go! DH got a different phone the other day and it pulls up the emails for each post so now he'll come in and ask if I read about such and such!!!

Ahh chicken math! DH has picked out what type of bird he would like to get....... once we have some I'll post a couple of pictures

Here I'll share some pictures with you!!

Eggs we collected last night: thinking that the upper right one is from our Blue Copper Marans pullet:

Our 2 baby chicks- they are half sibling to the 2 cuckoo Marans that TO took home. They are just about 1 month old
