So I wanted to make a pork roast and squash, mashed and gravy and some veggies tonight for dinner; I have a superintendent "thank you" dinner! DAM^! I think I will make the roast anyhow and then come home and eat...at least I know I wont get glutened then. I really dont care to go anywhere but I already RSVPed.

Good info on the high protein, high fat. It's so nice out today???? Sure wish it was here. It rained off & on all darn day. At least I got the coop cleaned out. I hope the mud goes away too, at least til next spring. Enough already. I have mushrooms growing in the driest parts of my lawn!

TO, you got some sun today? Wish I would have. Just rain & muck around here. Even the chickens went to bed an hour earlier. Oh, that's an awesome offer you gave FT. Oh, Carol, you too! You two are wonderful! I hope she accepts. The 15th is in the lead by a vote.

OMG I am stuffed! I only ate some ice cream and a root beer at my meeting but really pigged out here for dinner! The pork roast was delish...maybe a tad overdone. (Carol I didnt find the meat fatty at all!) I also made some turnips and gold potatoes from the CSA and a squash from the farmers' market in town. It was a buttercup...the green one that looks like an acorn. It was a bit dry but what a flavor! We also got a spaghetti squash and a Delicata squash with the CSA this time. It is nice that DD25 works where it is delivered because she gets to take it home if the person doesnt come! I also cut up some tomatoes that I picked today. I got another 6 gal pail of stuff out of the garden! I have more work to do...

A friend of our family was in a motorcycle crash over the weekend. He is OK but his GF died! We are so sad for him! I guess they wiped out around a corner and went into the ditch...neither was wearing a helmet. I used to do daycare for his kids. I didnt know his GF though even though she was from Lake Mills.

All the people are going off to bed...ah...nice and quiet with the television off! DD25 has decided to take the terrier up to bed with her...now DH is bellowing that there arent sheets on the bed...ooops, guess I forgot to put them on after I stripped the bed today! Sounds like he is taking care of it.....

I suppose I will feed the kitties and head up myself...lots of canning to do before work tomorrow! Sweet dreams everyone! Terri O

Well I have my dear BFF (best friend forever) over for his B-day, which is today. He needed to get away from his housemate, her dead beat son, his baby momma and their new born little boy.
Baby-momma went back to work 6 weeks after birthin her baby (kudos to her).
I went to pick up my BFF, and while waiting for him saw baby-daddy go upstairs and play his larger than life video game..
Great way to bring up junior, ignore his cries, don't change his diaper till mom comes home... and have him grow up listening and seeing his father play video games...


Any way... I made home made meatballs and heavily seasoned a blaize spaghetti sauce. I tried to look up recipes and they all wanted cheese in them...
SO I used my home made pork with beef from the store, 3 eggs from my chickens, and bread crumbs.. a Tuscan rub, and lots of other seasoning...
I did the bow tie type pasta and fusilli spinach pasta... and garlic bread.
I had enough for all 3 of us, and 2 lunches for DH!!!
I have to say that I finally love cooking!
