Hi Carol,

It is raining like cats and dogs here and my broadband and phone service are all jazzed up. Waiting to hear from Cindlady. I am on the outskirts of marginal coverage with cel service so it's touch and go with the storm.

Anyway, I won't be leaving until 4pm or so Friday. DH needs to help me pack up. Running way behind schedule here.

How late are you up ? If I get better reception I can try you later if the storm lets up.

Hello to everyone, I have done some reading but I can't keep up with all the news. Sounds like everyone is well and getting things done for the next season. Remember when DH said no more chickens? I said 4-6 and have 13. Well we are going into winter with a coop that fits about 8. We now are working on an old truck camper as a much needed larger coop. Got the idea from FT

when she posted about hers a while ago. So ( his ) idea to use the camper works out just fine.

We have been busy with Kids and Grandkids and planning my sisters 50th b day party. That was last weekend and it was a blast ! Soooooooo much beer

We got 12 eggs today so only one BO still holding out. Miss the outside time with the girls. It's getting dark so early now

Jim sounds like the pear butter was a big success

OK FT... works for me... how many birds am I "holding" and how many for me? 3 ea? What will I need to bring for cages? or if need be I can box them for the short ride home. I imagine they will want to sleep anyway.

Evening All....think we got about an inch of rain today. Plenty soggy now.

Glad you got some Venzun TO. We process our own, however most places around here charge $60 or $65 to cut wrap and freeze.
Maybe you don't have enough light in the barn....my 3 young roo's are crowing like crazy and have been for over 2 months...they all look pretty nice. One is really special I think, all are very tame.

The ford runs great when it starts Jim. Doesen't use a drop of oil. I had the carb re-done last Spring. Might be the points.

Maybe FT would bring some beets south to you guys? If you go south on 45 french toast you go past my place...just a thought, I know you have plenty to do already.

Yep, looks like you will be getting 3 hens. I have no idea when I will be leaving tomorrow. I will have to update you on my way down as I stop at the McDonalds and via phone. btw I get better cel phone reception down that a way !!! LOL

I am going downstairs now to water my silkies so I'll be down there for a while. Will check back later. Looks like you'll be hold only 1 or 2 birds for WCC. Depends if I keep one or not. LOL

Bigz, depends when I leave from here. Oh and if I have room in the car !!! LOL I will be bringing a showgirl and silkie hen that need meds with so they will be taking up room as well !!! LOL Oh and of course Butt Dog.

How many extra carrots you got ????? I don't do beats !! LOL Anyone got any zuchinni left ??? Ours is all gone, along with everything else the deer got !!! Sure wish DH would have gotten a deer or gets one. Good thing he doesn't get on here. He would be so jealous.
Found out the week after next weekend he is going to go over to a friends place and hunt with him. North of the Dells someplace. My memory fails me !!!

Ok, enough already, I gotta go get things done !!! I am the worlds biggest procrastinator !!!! That's how I survived cancer 3 times !!! I'm not going to die today !!!!!!

Had a nice visit with Jim yesterday, nice long talk with Carol tonight. Was gonna call you Cind but ran out of time now. I have to go charge up my phone. Maybe I'll call you later if you're still up ????
