I'm bringing some plastic wear and some plates... not sure if it will be enough plates for everyone. And remember BYOB. No one wants Cochin Roos? Is anyone else bringing anything to sell, trade, giveaway?

FT way to go on the dishwasher, what a deal. Yard work for us tomorrow and DH will run elect. out to the bigger coop. Can't wait to get the chickens into the new coop. Should we put them in the new coop and close them in for a day or so till they get used to it? ? Same run just different coop we want them to use. Not sure who wrote about the clothes eating dog but you have more patients than I would. Good luck

Susie, I took a broom & chased my girls into the coop at bedtime & just locked them in overnight. Most of them caught on by the 2nd night. HTH.

Good Morning All! Sounds like the southern bash will come together nicely, wish I was going! No Jim think in your first post about the trailer you said tandem tires. I've been wrong before and I'm not done being so. Thanks for the proofing tip but think it just wasn't warm enough to rise. Been there before. Had a post nearly finished last night and the power blipped, lost it was too tired to retype and remember. Nice score FT! TO that is weird about the quail, hope things turn around! Did you say FT stopped in? Maybe she tried to put it where the sun don't shine unless she's takin a shower in the yard. She's like that ya know.

Got the granite moved and used the bucket to knock down a small leaner on the road out back then added some more crushed concrete to the driveway. Was sitting there last night and realized I could do the same with a dead pine that's leaning against one of the maples out front. I've been a Case man all my life but now I've become a convert. The more I do with it the more I find I can do. Peatwo feathers are really coming in nice the quills are starting to get some fluff to them hope he fills in soon because he's really crabby. I can pick him up but he still won't sit on my lap. He's really a crabby boy! I tried to talk him into going for a ride on the loader cross bar but he said I drive like an idiot. Hope you all enjoy each other company at the Bash! Give everyone a hug for me.

Good morning! I slept in until 8:15 today!!!! (and slept all night for a change) Thins is the second night in a row...must have felt pretty good yesterday cause I got a lot done! THe quail is sill laying on it's side this morning. I tried holding it during the movie we watched last night...it seems maybe a bit better. Still eating and drinking so I wont cull it yet. I have been moving the bigger ones downstairs cause they seem to like to run right over the little guy! Peck his feet too! What a pain....the one that was nuts yesterday (outside) was still alive when I locked up. Just sitting hunched up. I watched that one eat and drink too...quail ghosts?
Just got a call from the processing guy; I am going to head to watertown and pick up the meat this morning and put my sausage order in. If it is too expensive to make I might try my hand at doing it myself...anyone have any experience with this? I have a grinder for my Kitchen-aide mixer...I want to make it summer sausage-like.

Did I tell you all that I won a gift card from Farm and Fleet? $25! Sure wish I would have won a bigger amount but heck, I'll take it! 2 1/2 bags of chicken feed! I have to pick it up before the third...wish they would just mail it....but maybe I have to spend it at that store too? It will be nice to shop without the crowds!

I have to make my dish to pass for the bash...I am not certain that there will be electric available...that is probably IF you rent the kitchen. (which we havent done) My friend lives right next door though so if we do need to heat something up I am sure she wont mind! Suppose I'd better get moving so I can get that meat, do chores, make my dish etc etc and get there on time! Sheesh...weekends are supposed to be no stress! Yeah, right!

CC I would have posted earlier but L was sleeping and me bangin on the keys sometimes wakes her. It's Bday and she was up with a hot flash last night. I always let her sleep in on her days off anyway.
