A few years ago someone's buffalo escaped and were running across our neighbors land. He's got pictures of a cow and calf on his trail camera. They had to shoot all of them. Its so sad.

Evening All...Yep that sounds like a fair price for your 9N Doc. I bought my 8N, 30 years ago. It had a 2 bottom plow, back blade, and a square counter balance thingy...and a trip bucket...I sold the plow and the square thingy when I needed the dough. Stupid today but back then it was survival. I paid $1700 back then when money had some value yet. It has always been kept inside by me, except for the last year...dead by the shed. The neighbor was gonna convert it to 12 volt....he did a half a** job and that's prolly some of the problem.

Been using your common sence with a couple drops of nilla in the regular coke TO....close enough for me. I think often about the folks that made the bash...all good ones. Wish I would of visited more instead of grilling. One place at a time, eh!

I think the Pack needs to stop Peterson and make the rookie QB try and read our defense CC, then we will be in charge I'm thinkin. If we can't stop their running game, it will be a long day for the Pack.

That is sad about the Bengal Tigers....stupid people.

I have the back straps and the 2 hinds left to finish. The straps are in a stainless kettle and the hams are hanging. Prolly finish that tomorrow and grind the burger Sat. Nothing like fresh burgers on the grill and fresh cut steaks with eggs for breakfast....you just gotta love the harvest.

Stopped at Farm & Fleet for Chicken food for the chickens I have with me !!

I think Ray Ainsworth (a horse trainer) who was doing demos.. cancelled, because we didn't see him anywhere, except the trailer and a round pen.

I got 3 bags of layer crumble, 4 bags of corn, 4 bags of horse feed, 1 bag of chick food, a bag of dog food, a flock block, a crock pot, 2 bags of bedding, and a few odds and ends.
Joan got 10 bags of horse feed, 4 bags of layer for a neighbor, 2 cases of suet, cat food, bedding and odds and ends.
So light in comparison to others.

I told TO about this, she isn't interested at this time. There is a fellow in McFarland (not far from me), who has a Royal Palm hen or two for $25 a piece they are about a year and a half old.

Good evening! I have a suggestion for ya FT...why dont you go to bed about now since you are very tired and sleep at NIGHT like us "normal" folks do? Seems to me that once you get tired at the right time you will get on a peole schedule instead of an owl's! (Just a suggestion

) I think you were supposed to make a comment about Jim having liquid in his rear or something like that?

Speaking of Jim...or anyone else--has anyone ever had a quail that all of a sudden cant use it's legs? I have one that is 2 weeks old or so and one leg wants to stay straight, it tips him over on his side. It isnt like the one with the splay leg...it is weird!

I will go over to Jerry's and take a pic of his plucker. (oh man, that doesnt sound so good does it? *blushing smiley* ) Then you can say if it looks like the one you made. THose killing cones that he lent to me are so heavy I could hardly get them out of the car! He said he would sell me a couple but when I asked how much he said, "what ya wanta give me for 'em?" I told him I wanted them for free...then he said I could borrow them...

Farm and Fleet was an absolute ZOO today! We waited in line for 45 ins to check out and all we had were some sweatshirts that my client didnt need anyhow! And 5 bags of candy that she really doesnt need! "It's for the kids when they come on Halloween." She will be lucky if she sees ONE kid! We went out to lunch at Noodles and they said that their Pad Thai was Gluten Free! I had some...because I like it anyhow...but I dont know...the guts are telling me something else! I need to do some Google work I think...it could have been all the 'nilla Coke I have been drinking though. SO you like it OK the "fake" way huh Brent? I thought it was passable too, especially if you cant find the real thing!

Well--this cat box that is next to me is horrible smelling...bet one of them got some under the box! That is usually what the problem is...gotta go and take care of that....YUK!

I think I know what you mean, Carol. Thank you for the suggestion. We'll have to try something like that. And nice price on the feed! You should have filled up a trailer with chicken feed & brought it to the bash to sell.

DrH, definitely a good price on the tractor. We got our Farmall & some attachments for $2,200 15 years ago, and without a 3 pt. I'd say you did good! And when you get PeaTwo all dressed up, you've got to take pics. As if moulting wasn't humiliating enough!
Raiq, thanks for posting that about the peppers. I'll have to try that, but I don't know how many plants I'd have room for.

Ok,

I'm gonna take a pill and hit the light switch in about 10 minutes. I have to deliver groceries to my Aunt tomorrow plus I went to Vallue Village, a Thrift store Weds and they had a portable full size dishwasher for $140 it was like brand new. All their appliances were 1/2 price so I could have gotten it for $70 but I was in hurry to go meet up with my sister and Aunt.
Well, I went back today and it isn't 1/2 price untile tomorrow (Fri) again. So I am going to try to get up early and go get it. I am sick and tired of doing dishes by hand !!! It was like brand new inside, not just clean but brand new looking.

Had a lead on three peachicks for $15 each in Kansasville but they emailed me and the person before me came and got all three. ;(

Might look at a Maltese/Bichon mix tomorrow too. It looks like Butt Dog. Now I have to just really think if I want to disturb her by getting another small dog. She was raised with 4 others and now is alone. I just don't like it leaving her home alone when I can't take her with me. ? The little girls name is Kajha or something weird like that ? She is 4.5 yrs old and Butt dog is 11yrs so it wouldn't be a puppy bugging the crap out of her.

WCC are you bringing me the wheels and tie blocker???/

I must have missed some posts. Was there a big sale on chicken food and bedding someplace ????

Hi!

FT... That bi-pass messes with allot of people! It dose beat all those semis going through town though. That could get real rough at times! Sure hope that dish washer is still there for you!

TO... Do your neighbors do allot of butchering? Sounds like they got a permanent set up and a system down pat! As for the early to bed thing... people like FT and I, even if we're so tired we fall asleep earlier than usual, we almost never stay asleep! It's a nap.

Unless I'm sick or take something, I'll be up and going even later when I do that. Kinda sucks being "out of sync" sometimes, but then again. I love the night and my quiet "alone time". I still say it's genetic!

Raiq.... I just cut my pepper plants and am trying putting them in water like you said.... hope it works! Can't be any worse than loosing them! Worth a try.

Jim... I've been thinking (I know, it hurts too!

) I should get my son to make me a plucker and rent it out! I know there would be some legal things involved, but we're already a LLC so that's a start.

BigZ... I'm sure we all wish we could have talked to you more.... but believe me, all that grilling was deeply appreciated!!! Great stuff!!!!

Well, guess there's no fooling some hens. I put 4 plastic eggs in a nest and put Jasmine on them. She was there for about an hour then was off of them. I bet tomorrow when I get eggs she'll be sitting on the new batch!

Might have to try that cool bath thing to break her. Lacey seems to be "done" raising chicks. I still have her in with them but she's laid eggs for the last 4 days and doesn't shelter the chicks anymore. Jasmine was still trying to tuck them under when they were 1/2 her size!

I promised DH and DS I would make angle food cake. I decided if I was going to make cake I would like it to last for more time than what it took to make it, so I thought 2 cakes. Well, as long as I had 3 pans and enough eggs I might as well make 1 for each of us! So I make 3 angle food cakes last night! We each get our own and when they suck down their cake I'll still get my share!

Sometimes I got to be sneaky to get my share!
