Cind, got one: Hey buddy, you better start laying some eggs before you end up in freezer camp. OR Whitey was beginning to think living in the henhouse was for the birds.

Sunny today, but we still have a white ground out there. It's gonna hit 50 by Sunday, woohoo! I need that warmth to finish up the last 4 roos. Picked up over 50lbs of apples from my neighbor last night. More applesauce?! I'm making up a big batch for a fundraiser breakfast for the school on Sunday after church. Hope it all gets etten. I keep finding quarts of it stashed all over the kitchen.

dear diary, I wonder where all the people went ? It seems, except for a post here and there, that I am answering myself.

TerriO, a 2N is a bit older than an 8N, and the 9N is just a little more horse than the 8N.. the 8N is the most prolific.. I think the 8N went for $800.oo brand new,, ? I might be wrong about the price..

I think the 2N has the distributor on the front and the later 8N and 9N has it on the side..?

I like those people who think that you can just go out in the yard and pick up any bird you want, too.. I tell them to come in the morning before I turn them loose.. If you are not here by 10AM they are turned loose..

TerriO, what is it with your "shopper"? afraid to spend money ? or just plain bullheaded ? WTH ?

I have my chicken feeding program as simple as I can get it.. I can do all 4 coops and 2 brooder pens in less than 20 minutes..
that will be nice when it gets reall cold outside..

speaking of cold, I think I am going to switch to long pants and walking shoes for the winter , now, with the snow on the ground.. I am going to miss my "Jesus shoes" and cut-offs..

My new sweetheart just brought back my 3 pet carriers.. said that the birds just made themselves right at home with her goat..

Brent, hope you can salvage some lumber out of your pines.. save what logs you can and I will bring them to wausau to a guy I know who can saw them up..

Morning Everyone.... Congrats Amyable with your calendar pic. I can see why it was chosen....way to go!

Jim these two treesa aren't quite big enough to bother with sawing. I'll just buck em up for fire wood.

In regards to the ford tractors....9N is 28hp and built from 1939-1943...it was replaced by the 2N due to shortages during the war....had the same hp, but had steel wheels, the generator and battery of the 9N was replaced with magneto....8N is 30hp (that's what I have) 1947-1952... the distributor is in the front. It also has a 4 speed trans instead of the previous 3 speed.

Doc I think if you get under the tractor in back of the rear axle ( if you think the pump is original) it's stamped with the exact date of manufacture.....I've done alot of research on the relics. That might only apply to the 8N though.

It's gonna have to get awful warm here to rid the ground of all the snow. Looks like it might still be here for the gun opener next week end. I din't hang the orange in the coop. I figured it would be white from all the dander flying around....

Good thing I wasn't swallowing some coffee at the time. I went back to look at the pic again, and that is exactly what it looks like they're saying.

Everyone is probably trying to get their last minute winterizing done. Hopefully the nicer weather forecasted for the weekend will come to pass so we can all get our stuff done. Speaking of which, I'd better get to it. Hope everyone enjoys their day. Happy Friday!

Was glad to sit down to only one page! Congrats Amy that's a really good pic! Cheeseheads rock!

Can sure tell it's a mainly female thread no one commented on her "B-in' at him.

Have to agree TO you win! Ran one tank of gas through the splitter and called it good for today. Still 70% to go. Gonna have a nice pile to start with next year for a change. Makes me happy

Bigz and Jim, I found where the holes were filled in on the tin for the headlights, think it was done after the round tube loader frame was added and the lights moved. It has a Sherman OD in it, man does that thing whistle goin down the road! It has the Ford emblem stamped in the front without the Fergeson underneath and no Fergeson by the 3pt. Front dist. 6 Volt pos. ground. A Ford guy is stopping over tomorrow aft and if anyone knows he will. But to me it all points to a 2N. My first ex dropped off a major score today. A 6 qt pressure canner that she got at her church's rummage sale for $2. Tested it, it works! Sears/Mirro baby poo green but it pays to be color blind sometimes. Still hurts my eyes but I'll get over it when I eat pickles

Asked her if she needed a refill of dills she said that she was still finishing up her Milwaukee dills made in New Jersey. Told her we tried to do that too but dumped them out after eating the ones I made this year. By far and away the best I've ever eatin and they came from our garden.

Hello all, happy Vets day, cheers to getting our power back on after the snowstorm! Came out of the blue, that--out for 28 hours. Thank goodness for the fireplace.

Hey everyone, how does a solid white Sicilian Buttercup sound to you all?

Happy Vets Day to all those who served! Hope the day was nice, my DD was chosen to read her Veterans Day paragraph at their assembly today- she did a very nice job writting it.

Have a good friday everyone!
