Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Oh Becky your new chicks are adorable! And I didnt think you rude at all! Just say it like it is...that is my motto. Unfortunately I wimp out when I am face to face with a friend. Funny about your Pearl...DH and I had a good laugh!
I am excited that my eggs are pipping! Those babies are right on time...maybe even a bit early. I was hoping to go out to H&Rs and catch a "late hatcher" on Tuesday...perhaps I will have to make different arrangements. Enjoy your sun while you have it...the clouds are moving East to West this morning. Earlier here is was sunny but now is cloud covered. We could see the line to the East when we got up. Did you hear? 58 later this week! Could this really be the "real" spring? It would be awful early if it was. Horses and dogs are shedding up a storm. I have already picked some dandelion weeds for my tortoise. He enjoyed them immensely! Also his Sedum is about a half inch tall. No tulips or crocus showing yet here but there was a huge snow mountain over my spring garden so I cant blame them for being shy....well, unless the squirrels got the bulbs again this year! I am so excited to start gardening!!! (can you tell?) It is my other love besides chickens. (and horses, and dogs, and letterboxing and tortoises and crosstitch and.....) Yeah, I have a whole bunch to keep me occupied here--never could understand how anyone could be bored! I hear it a lot in my job...I kind of just want to say, "Shut your mouth already and get a hobby!" But that would be unprofessional....oh well.
So I am going to say Happy Spring

and be done with it...now I need to go and find some potatoes to get ready for planting....Good Friday is coming up and my garden is not ready! Terrio

Terri O, Prayers for your Pearl.

And we have 9 more babies. Now we have 2 dozen babies and still a few to go.

beckyschicks Cute pics. I'm a sucker for a light colored chick. I don't know why. Just am.

I say weasel. Maybe last year's baby, he seems a tad small.

BCC, when are you wanting to get those Rangers? I'm tossing around the idea of a small batch of meaties already this summer. I think I could build a tractor easily enough for meat birds. My friend who got the roos from you is getting me all the pallets I want, and she snagged a great big wood shipping box that I'm gonna turn into my first coop

It's huge, 4x8, and tall enough to walk in. That will have to suffice until I get enough funds set aside to build my dream coop. Have it all sketched out, just need some dough.

BTW, the cochin is named Periwinkle, and the Polish is Clyson (named after a friend of theirs with similarly wild hair). They both are doing great, and loving having all those ladies to themselves.

Amyable, a 4X8 shipping box tall enough to walk in rocks! That's pretty much the coop I'm working on with a roof and skids to move it.

Well, I've got plenty of chick pics but I'm not smart enough to download them. I'll get it fingered out one of these days. Time to get at my projects everyone enjoy the warmth.
