Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

I cant get that to work either!

Hi again....very simple to upload pics now...and FAST too! You can also do multiples which makes it faster too. I did one of my old dog Sarge and one of the yellow tulip garden. THe dog looks good but the garden must have been taken at a really low resolution cause it is so blurry it hurts my head...but it doesnt seem blurry on my computer...weird. I know the cam got switched once to a lower res but I didnt think it was on those pics...here is Sarge, I miss him so much!
Tried pasting the words now...it tells me it is taking the image from my computer but it isnt appearing here! I am soooo frustrated I am ready to bang my head on the wall! I am going out to get my dry cleaning...T--who is seriously frustrated and ****** off!

Terri, when you're in the "reply" box, right above it & 5 icons to the left of the smileys is a little box. If you hover your mouse over it, it should say "insert image. Click on it & it will open a window titled "add or upload an image". It will have a button marked "browse" so you can search your computer for a pic you want to post, just like posting on the old BYC. Click on your pic, and when it takes you back to the "add or upload an image" box, click the "submit" button on the bottom right. That should be all you have to do. Good luck.

P.S. That is Ezmerelda, Moose, Bella & Rose. B & R are wearing their new aprons. Aren't they cute?

ETA: I meant that you can browse your pics on your computer the same way as you did before, not that you had to upload them before you could post them. Sorry for the confusion.

Actually neither. They are to keep the rooster from pulling the feathers off the hens' backs. My black aussie has a lot of feathers missing too, but her apron is a little big for her.

Hi all,

I am in need of some reassurance on this cold weather for my girls. I know I know-they dont need heat. However, I have 13 chickens in a coop that is aprox 288 sq ft-so not sure if the body heat even applies? Also, I still have my hurt banty"Ahmelia" in a bunny cage inside the coop (Slipped hocks)....should I put a heat lamp out? Its going to be below zero tonight? They are in a closed up but slightly drafty converted barn....

TO when you click on the "insert image" icon (up by the smilies, in the reply box) there are 2 "tabs" browse computer and image URL click on browse computer, there you will click on browse... it will take you into your computer to find a pic. you do NOT have to upload them to BYC like you did before. in that box you will see a little check mark it's saying that it will save a copy to your default album (in BYC)
hope this helps

when I go in my coop, my glasses fog up lol it's gotta be warmer in there right?! lol I think U need more birds lol whats that 22ish sq feet per bird? yup you need more birds lol as for heat??? maybe, just don't burn the coop down

that's all I can offer lol

They should be fine. I am actually planning to close the coop door tonight to the run and leave it closed all day tomorrow. It will be a little tight in there for them, but will keep the chill out and let body heat build. there is still vents near the top, but body heat will help. they have not come outside all day today anyway. I freaked out my first year with chickens all winter, but used no heat lamp and thy were fine. Rather not get them dependent on that in case power goes out.

Lots more.

As for you being worried about them, hang a heat lamp out there above their roost. If it makes you feel better, so be it. Just make sure you have it secured so it won't fall down & hit the floor, causing broken glass &/or sparks, fire, etc. As for the one in the cage, throw a blanket over the top of the cage, just leave one side open for air flow. They should be fine.
