FT (and others!) I give my eggs to friends. The few times I sell them I charge $2.00 a dozen. They only way for people to find me is by word of mouth and I have to know the person who referred them to me. Being an Outlaw does have disadvantages. Most of my "egg customers" are the Elderly Set looking for a taste and memory from their childhood. They also generally don't care that I have chickens and they think it's great. I don't charge them for the eggs though. I think they like the idea of being in on a secret.
I know gray eyes can be caused by mareks. I've never payed attention to this chicken's eye color. I thought she was a rooster for the longest time. I guess I need to look through old pictures of her.
Love all the pics, Thanks
Dr.HaHa hope your man cold is gone soon.
I only sell to close friends and get $2.50
My girls are only 9-10 months old so when you talk about old chickens and the brown spot things how old are they when this starts to show in the eggs? Is it bad to eat those eggs? So much to learn.......
Thanks for your knowledge
