so maybe we will get more eggs that are fertile!

so day one of the garden and cold vegatables in and a nice soaking rain and then some real nice sun shine...gonna keep this up untill I get burned or the last average frost happens!

I have to do something, chickens are just growing like normal chickens and I am not allowed to get anymore, just got told to stop looking at craigslist!

I want all of your chickens....so nice!

Hi all, I am on Granny watch tonight.. so I just might be on and off here until she goes to bed..
She is very restless and wide awake...

I had a too short of a visit from Dan today.. lots of fun to talk with.. Naturally the peacock hid the whole time he was here, and as soon as he left, came out and strutted his stuff..

the Barred rocks are still at 5 eggs per day, and the Dels are at 3.. Turkeys are down to 2.. I just know they have a nest hidden somewhere..

A few of the guineas have decided to take to the pine tree at night.. I can't reach them with a stick, but tomorrow I will hook up the hose blaster and surprise them..

speaking of hoses,, It sure is nice to not have frozen hose in the morning..eh?

A couple of loud POPS near Clintonville, you say ? It couldn't have been Brent.. he needs only one shot at a deer..

Yeah BigZ, what on earth were you doing last night? Those poor folk in Clintonville were scared out of their gourd! You have a homemade cannon that you decided to shoot off last night??? ;)

Yes Jim, a good visit, we'll have more I'm sure. For those that have not been to Jim's if you get the chance to go, he's got A LOT of cool Stuff, (definately a guy thing) but a real creative fellow,,,came home with lots of ideas.

A road trip day but still tired me out, didn't get much done on the farm but did make some lists while driving, now to get on them tomorrow, this early spring really makes me feel behind when in reality everything I do get done I'm ahead of schedule,,,lol

I'm ready to cut some spinach in the high tunnel, and I will get some of these larger mater plants out there to harden them off to sun and temps.

Yeah,,,and what's with the "secret" frac drilling in Clintonville? whodathunkit? (now there's a rumor waiting for a pundit)

one chick hopped out of the brooder this evening, the Speckeled Sussex chased it into a corner,,,didn't attack it just curious and or protective, no harm no foul....
