hey jim care to talk more about the call duckling problems? I have 2 calls that like being on there backs? I'm transfering all but 1 to the brooder box. I still got 1 in the egg.

crap I forgot to turn the eggs at 2:30

screening the shirts next week! MAN the bash is getting close. I vote that next year we have the bash in June like the 1st week lol OR after school gets out.??? maybe?
I had to start keeping a log of whos calling/texting me for what. I got someone waiting for these eggs to hatch and grow up so he can buy them... I got someone wanting my Americana roo (can't wait till they pick it up)... someone wants hatching eggs.... and and and..... oh and hopefully I have my suprise 3 chicks sold! (born in Feb)

Soooo how much would you all sell a year old roo for? how about 3 month old silkies? newly hatched chicks? good grief.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. My wife is doing much better. She came home at 9am and has been resting most of the day. I am ready for a short nap and then watching Star Wars with all my friends tonight for... May the Fourth be with You!!!

I am hoping to have some luck in the rain tomorrow and sell a few birdies. The left overs will combine in the brooder and coops.

Time for my nap before the movie.

Well, I went from 11 ducks to 6, and one appears to have a broken leg. I don't know what to do :/ We are doing everything we can to take care of them, and we keep losing them. The one with a broken leg, it's just laying down and when it does move it's not far. It probably wont make it :/ I feel like such a bad mommy

EL--I think that story is bunk...sorry. That little girl was probably throwing the eggs at the chickens! LOL!
Man KEN--when it rains it pours doesnt it? BTW--did you ever get your chick supplies back from the teacher's friend? And good luck and prayers to your wife on her surgery...will she have to do therapy to get all the flexibility back? If so, encourage her to do the exercises frequently! And congrats on your passing of the class...was there ever any doubt?

Twizzle--R they under a mama duck or in a brooder? If they are in a brooder then they are getting handled too roughly, if under a mama maybe you can make her roaming space a bit smaller? I only get broken legs in ducklings when the mama takes them too far...
Congrats on full grown babies BBP! Are your favs LF or banties? I am looking for a few LF favs for my boys.

WOW what a lot of reply posting! Hopefully DrH wont have too many long necks tonight and he can reply! LOL! Carol--I called Terri in JC and she was very nice but didnt have what I wanted...I told her I would call her later to see if the birds were showing any signs of gender. I didnt call the other person (near Joan) but I certainly would take some Naragansets from her (hey, you could bring them along on Tuesday!) Maybe I will give them a call.

All is well here...I think I will head out and do chores early for a change...my turner is always in the same place wen I look...maybe it hasnt been doing it's job this time? Will check that now! Terri O

ETA: Just got a call from the Charter school, My DS got picked to attend next year.YAY!
so next year we will have 5 kids in 3 different schools! lol (charter, public and homeschool)
