Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

We take all kinds; just look at Dr.H....

There is a link to the Bash at the bottom of my posts.... all info will be there.

BBP, I think TO or FT or I think WCC would be your best sources of info on this..... I have watched it done many many times but for the life of me cannot remember the process....

I just cannot get motivated today..... I have spent most of the day watching the cat.

Apparently I have not been doing a good enough job on here. I was lumped in with the "many others" comment in Docs post. OOOOOHHHHHH believe me sir... After the bash, you will never lump me in with the general population. Oh yes... I will be listed out separately like the other popular kids you mentioned.... :D

What size chicken suit you want me to bring you???

Man I can tell there much be bad weather....lots of chatter today! LOL!

Stacy-Yup....I agree with BL4! Stay and sit a spell!

BBP-Cleaning a horses sheath is easy....so long as the horse in question allows it! I would recommend when the vet comes for his Coggins, ask her to do it and teach you how to clean it.
Also, ask the vet check his teeth when you get the Coggins done. Your new horse may need his teeth floated. Along with his diet, this might be another reason why he is underweight. Horses teeth get sharp points on them and these points can cut into their gums and cause pain when the horse chews. The vet can go in and file down these points to make it more comfortable and efficient for him to eat.
Since the horse has been as neglected, then I would not be surprised to find that he needs his teeth floated. Once you have the teeth done, you should have them checked yearly. Some horses need to be floated rather regularly and some are fine every few years or so. Just depends on how he wears his teeth.

Marg-Yes H&R and her Fam are uber cool folks! TO is awesome too! She is good people.

DrH-Awwwwww.....Your awesome too!!! Even if it's all about you....

Gosh now I am getting bummed we cant make it. My kids dont really do cars well... actually ds... he does not sit still to drive more than an hour anywhere... sigh. Between him and an antisocial dh... i am screwed...
oh well.. just keep me posted and I will live vicariously through you. There are so many enablers... I would probably bring home more chickens and then where would I be! argh.... so wet, wanted to get my carrots planted... and onions but it is way too mucky out there. time to do laundry until my washer dies on me. blah day here!

I spent much time outdoors today, despite the on and off rain.. I got the breeder/brooder pen all set up and transferred 90 chicks to it.. I left about 35 of the smallest ones in the brooder..

After supper, I am going to transfer about 50 chicks from the TV to the brooder..

Annie baked a rhubarb pie.. as far as I am concerned, she doesn't have to make any supper..

I didn't get any response about making pancakes for the breakfast at the bash,.. I will take your silence as a polite "no"..

Yoopers are welcome.. Tomski is a yooper too..

Annie found a guinea nest close to the rhubarb patch.. 17 eggs in it.. I think there are still more than that one hidden nest..

The peahen is feeling a bit better. she is eating again..to those of you who feel left out.. just wait awhile and you will become abused just like the rest of us.. I won't point out who are the worst abusers, but the leader's initials are CC..

Good afternoon...over 60 posts to read and even lots of PMs! We went out to the Mexican Restaurant in town last night after the Kentucky Derby viewing at my friend's place. Yeah, thinking she should have come here...watching on the really dinky TV wasnt so good I think hers is a 13". I wasnt thrilled when we got our "new" one from my brother but I guess I sure got used to that nice big picture quickly!

I have a solution for you Kris. Just you and your DD make the trip--leave the males at home to take care of stuff.

I dont think anyone is intentionally ignored on here...we TRY to be nice to everyone! With some it is very hard...right CC?

GLad CInd made is safely and got the stove...seems like lots of stove moving going on...Tomski messaged me to be sure that we were bringing ours for him. Yes he is still alive and planning on coming to the bash. Speaking of the bash (and I havent been there yet today) all you people that havent responded if you are coming you better get with the program!

If you dont respond I will have to see if I can talk BIgZ into locking the gates after all the people that have followed directions arrive! Yeah...can you tell that torrential rain and clouds make me crabby? y weather lady WIChCh called me this morning to inform me of terrible storms heading my way. I quickly went out and put what I could under cover (forgot to secure the cover on the black oil sunflower) got a hot cuppa and went to sit on the porch swing and enjoy the show! It was a very nice loud storm but the hail did not materialize...maybe a few tiny ones...then I went into the yard and searched for geese cause someone came to buy some...then brought in 6 or 7 newly hatched ducklings that were like drowned rats! After blowdrying I took a few pics and returned them to their mamma. Stole this idea from somewhere....

And another of my mixed species room...

SO that's all I have to report....everything I was going to comment on has already been said! Yes I did have a fantastic time over at MXMs place, the mushrooms were Dryad's Saddle and were definitely delicious! I also got some oyster mushroom that were great too. We looked and looked for morels to no avail! Darn! And her DH blew me away with his inventions! Their Taj Mahal coop is soooo cool with a TON of features!

Phone is ringing yet again....sheesh! Talk later! Terri O

Jim and Terri,

I know deep down you love me!

Jim, on the bash thread I offered to bring both Bisquick & the gluten-free stuff too.
big_smile.png
So yes, we would love pancakes for breakfast!

Terri, cute babies!

Newbies, just butt in anytime. Skuse me, pardon me...........

We all felt the same way when we first got here too, but the more you join in, the more responses you'll get. And don't let Jim's gruff manner scare you off. He doesn't bite, usually.
