Terri O I love the goslings in your mixed species pen. I'll get geese again someday.
MLH - I peeked in the horses mouth today and his teeth are disgusting. The ones that sit behind the bit were a super gross orange color. I'm worried about that now.

Hi all...
Just checking in again....the critters are all good. Miffed at the rain....but good. Ben is on my list..he is contemplating becoming a back stabber....I talked to him and told him that that is not a good idea.....We will see.....He might think he is the big guy in the coop right after the hens but still.....tsk tsk tsk...

TO-I got enough hail for the two of us.....not super bid stuff but it lasted for a bit.... Love the pic of the babies! Especially the Twins!

Oh...I've been meaning ti post these pics for awhile....

Here is my new heard buck ans the newest rabbit to the rabbitry. He is a Champagne D'Argent named Dimitri:

Here is my new Californian doe. I've named her Poppy.

Well, I've gotta go get dinner started I guess....later!

That was nice he let you look in his mouth. My mare won't let you even look at/in hers. Needless to say she gets sedated-heavily! to get her teeth done. The Snot!
I would not worry to much about the disgusting color of his teeth. Horse teeth can be gross especially when they are all crusted with grain!

The teeth behind the bit tend to be darker the the front ones since the back ones are their chewing teeth and take more wear and staining then the front ones. It is perfectly normal.

TO, any anybody else with geese; are you bringing babies to the Bash and what kinds do you have? I know Terri has my faves (Toulouse), but I know others on here have goslings and wondered what they were.

My DD DBF checked the goose eggs and cracked one open..... nada, no development. Told him maybe the goose's vent feathers needed to be clipped so the gander can do his job properly....

Off to the in-laws for a visit! Maybe catch some crawlers since it has been so rainy...

Terri, do you want me to bring that chocolate cake to the bash as well? Not the one from last year but the one I made for my BIL....

Let me know either way. I'll have to figure out how to make my carrot cake GF......

Late afternoon/early evening

sure is wet outside! Rain started here about 9 am this morning- just enough time to get chores done.... chickens stayed inside their coop a good part of the day.

DS(10) was suppose to play soccer today in Reedsburg but that was canceled due to the weather, so we just hung out here and took care of everyday stuff, we also got sucked in playing Wii games with the kids and baking cookies. DD has some decorating pens that she wanted to try out so she is waiting for the frosting to dry and of course DH needed to test the cookies out

MXM it was great meeting you and your family last night, DS(7) had fun playing and he actually went to bed earlier and slept in this am... something that doesn't happen often with him- he is my night owl and if he gets a nap in the afternoon....let's just say it's not good for me!!!!

The 4 remaining chicks are holding their own today- up eating and drinking a bit so we'll see what tomorrow brings. I think we will start adding ACV(apple cider vinegar) into all the water on a regular basis.

Looks like we will be coming up on Sat May 19th for the picnic, I'll have to go over to the bash thread and sign up. Thought I would share a picture with everyone. Those of you who were at the 1st bash might remember how TO brought all those cute bunnies for everyone to oooh and ahhh over? Well here is JJ the little one that we took home that day!!! Of course he's not so little anymore and is almost 3 years old. He is our house rabbit- loves to be petted and gently scratched behind the ears.

So one never knows what cute critters will attend the bash too!!!

Jim yes please make pancakes. :D TO have you made gluten free pancakes? is it possible? I'm making baked oatmeal, To is that gluten free? lol it has old fasion oatmeal, egg, brown sugar, baking soda or powder lol I don't remember lol, milk, butter and salt i think thats all. we add add ins lol choc. chips or crasins or cinnamon..... what ever else.

I did put in one order for tshirts, I may have to put in another order so if you want to get in on this order tell me now, I have to put in the order by Wed. so I have time to screen them. I had a question about them so I'm also going to put the pic up here again. so here it is
later all

Evening All...Haven't been on due to the lightning...Caught up on the reading and know I won't remember enough stuff...yep, hope you make panckes again Jim...still have your tools.

I did reply to you chickenlover...i know, most folks consider me nobody too, like you...LOL!

I had to run to town yesterday....there's the Amish neighbor in the ditch by the driveway with his shirt being used for a sling in front of him to hold a pile of morels he was picking....he had quite the smile on his face....told him I was thinking about looking for some....while I was thinking he thought of it first....LOL He won;t be able to say anything when I'm in his rhubarb patch, eh! All is fair in the hunt for morels, I guess.

Nice pics...love seeing them.

Glad you had a safe trip to Doc's cind.

Don't know how to change my message raim....tried and tried....finally gave up...LOL

Unk the determinate variety means you can determine how big the plant gets and spreads...those will stay managed in a cage...while the indeterminate variety grows huge vines and needs huge spacing to prevent crowding...just sayin for those that care.

How about that race CC...another wierd ending...thought Michael would finish top 10 and junior closer to first...gotta love those unhappy losers, eh! I won't mention names...like 2nd place.
