IAnnie found a peafowl egg in their coop also.. what a relief.. IDK which hen layed it, but at least they are starting up again.. I put 3 into the bater yesterday.. total of 8 so far.. IDK if we will let them hatch the ones they lay from now on.. I think we might, as long as they are in that quite secure pen..

I got the first planting table put together this afternoon.. it all went according to the plan in my head,, except for the part where I wrecked a new saw blade on a nail buried deep into the wood.
tomorrow I will make the cover and bottom for it..

My BIL talked me out of planting corn next week.. still too early this far north.. Of course HE is going to plant one row, he says.. good, if I need some early corn I will go pick some of his..

the puppies are starting to bark and growl.. cute now, but I hope they grow out of it..

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there! It is fun keeping up with all the happenings with everyone. I am looking forward to the bash! We will be there Saturday by 10 am or so. Sounds like there will be lots to see! Unk I am hoping you come with a truck FULL of plants to sell! I am not planning on bringing any chicks/birds to sell unless someone wants something in particular and I have it....but it sounds like there will already be LOTS there.

I am VERY interested in picking up some feed at Magees...but who can tell me if they are open on Saturday?? Anyone?? Bigz?

I am having my entire flock Polorum tested so I can get WI Cerrtified Flock tested status....but would prefer NPIP status. Who can tell me what I have to do to become NPIP? I hear every state is different in rules and requirements and those I have been talking to are most familiar with Michigan rules.....who can share their knowledge with me on this?

Thanks in advance for the help. Oh! Almost forgot! I WON a dozen hatching eggs from that same raffle FT won stuff....I am getting Buff Laced and Gold Laced Brahma eggs (LF) from Red Rooster Farm in Washington, shipping tomorrow!! I am so excited!! That's a LONG way for eggs to travel tho so I am NOT counting my chicks before they hatch! Nope...not me!!

Sorry about the hawk BBP. Had deadly nightshade all over when I first moved here. Chickens loved the berries. A few died. Something took two baby chicks in the daylight right outside the coop with mama watching. Maybe a rat? Moved them elsewhere. Yeay on the peaeggs. I would be suspicious of microwaves. Just checking in.... I decided to work in the kitchen all night and couldn't find anything good to watch while I was working. Then I remembered That youngest son (who just moved in this week) said he had Game of Thrones (a HBO series..."don't ask, don't tell"

) Anyway...he put the first 5 episodes on my computer...so I started to watch (was going to watch 2 episodes

) I watched 4! And got more distracted by the show than I should have been.

So, now it's after 6am and I'm going to bed!!!

I just heard the male (visiting) guineas have arrived for breakfast and "their girls", DH better finish getting dressed and get out there!

So woke up-checked and I have 3 new fluffy butts under mommas!!! 2 Lav Orps and 1 surprise baby!!! I am thinking a white leghorn and Lav Orp cross-Anyone know if it would be all white or possible have some spotting or lacing?

DD12 made me GF cinnamon rolls, bought a plant for me and made the cutest card-Im blessed!!!

Good Morning Everybody! Sounds like we're all busy. Tis that time of year. Lots of hatching and lots of losses. Decided last night that all the young roo's are goin in the freezer starting tomorrow. Ready to take a shotgun to em.

Got all the plants in and found enough room to add some jalapenos.

didn't think there was any extra room. Found out that one sprinkler will cover the whole garden. I'd be butchering this morning but L asked if we were going fishin today. So I'm puttin the boat together and by the time that's done it'll be warm enough!

I didn't want the turkeys so I contacted the donor and she is sending me two different types of eggs now. I can't wait. It is a surprise to all of you.

Happy Mother's Day

Hope everyone has a great one!

We have soccer again today- they won 1 and lost 1 yesterday, the second team was a very good team. Our kids tried hard!

MXM- any improvement on the pullet??

DH tilled our garden again now that it has dried out- he found a lighter tiller for our lawn tractor and it works so much better. Will probably till it again.

Can Preen be used in the garden around the vegetables? Have to sort through and see what we all have to plant this year- friends of ours brought us a bunch off seeds

some cool squash ones too! We always try each year to try a few new veggies- the kids love it. This friend also asked if she comes and helps me with the garden would I let her plant some tomatoe plants in the garden...... told her of course!

Noticed that our strawberry plants have blossoms on them already- it is protected by a hedge row right off our patio- have to fight the birds for them, thinking of making another patch out by our garden.

DH made breakfast this am- made french toast and my kids made me cards- did them in computer class at school

Good Mother's day so far; got up, made coffee, gave the cat his pills and his injection, bathed the dogs and trimmed their nails and did their frontline treatment..... now just killing time while eggs and potatoes boil on the stove for potato salad. Having a BBQ over at my sis' house for my mom later on today.

I STILL need to make some Lavender soap for the Bash!!!!

Maybe later today..... I REALLY have to make it by tomorrow so it will be ready.... since I will be coming home from work and making cakes the rest of the week I will not have time!
