Happy Memorial Day All....kinda hard to swallow the fact so many gave their life for OUR freedom, and many in the prime of their life. May they truly RIP!

The cops have stopped 6 cars so far today. This is a prime day for them here....the number will end in the 20's 0r 30's before dark.

For the females it's washed off back colors.

Backyard Poultry Magazine is another hit. They have a ho-made recipe for electrolyte solution. i might try that in the future.

Could the one that is crying be in pain. Perhaps from the debudding? Just like babies, they cry for a reason, just don't know why with animals sometimes.
Could they perhaps sense you don't care for them??? give em extra loving and see what happens. You are their mom now. I'd take them if I didn't already have 6 of my own..... pets.

The problem is that I spoiled them and let them just hang out in the yard all day until recently. So they'd slepp in the chicken coop, climb on what they wanted and get loved on by everyone that stopped over. Then they started eating my rhododendron. Thats not good for them.. so they are in a 16' x 16' pen. I go in there 4 times a day to feed and love on them. I was just frustrated with everything yesterday and their crying was pushing me over the edge. I'm getting collars this week for them. I'll take them for walks and expand their pen to 32 x 64 so they can run around and have more to browse on. I have a neighbor very close to me who does not appreciate the noise. She tolerates 3 roosters crowing but I don't want problems because these guys are too loud. They're really going to be unhappy when they get the knife next week and get transformed into wethers. LOL!

From what I can tell the cabinet I have is a digital hatcher. It does not have a turner in it, but it looks like I could put one in if I take the back off. It has 4 levels and will get it heated up to check it out when I get my man cave wired for electricity.

Not sure who is on or not.. There is a MAJOR storm going west to east, had a funnel cloud spotted near 138 outside of Oregon.. and possibly near Evansville.. about 4 miles from us.

DH just brought in a nice chunk of hail ice... wowo..
I am a little worried about the eggs in the bator... they all look ready to hatch, but have yet to have a pip.. and haven't had a temp spike at ALL...
there are some that are a day overdue now...ack...

watched the storm pass through over us but no hail, had dark clouds and some wind- hope everyone else is going okay!

processed 9 cockerals today(currently cooking in the crock pot to be used in pot pies!) and moved the rest into 1 run so now the turkeys will have some more room to move around.

sun has come back here, probably will go back outside and work on cleaning pens

Back again just to check in. Yep, we had to unplug the puter, quite the storm moved through. Looking like the gardens will have plenty of moisture now to get started.

Gonna go to the neighbors tomorrow to drop off some eggs and pick up a new blade for the table saw...time to build some lawn pens for starters. One never has enough pens and coops, eh!

Suzie is frying Nueske's bacon for BLT'S on big buns. I love a good sloppy blt.

Kinda good race yesterday...more action in the Sat race though. Suzie needs a hearing aid. In the meantime I'm always turning down the tube.

MLH here just checking in! We made it through the storms, and just as I was going to post to let you know that Albion is still here, the power went out for a spell.

However, the fire engines are going almost non stop on our road, turns out that an apartment building in Edgerton got hit by lightening and caught fire. DH went into Edgerton and found this out. He said there were a lot of ambulances and tons of fire trucks.....

Gotta go more rain is coming...
