Oh Heather.. it is always an adventure with you! I remember "running away" as a kid. Hid under my sisters bed with a backpack of snacks until Mom called the police... then decided I better come out...Hope you are not too traumatized as a parent!

Ok, I am just in a thinking mode, but does anyone have a friendly roo, preferably bantam sized they might part with. One that people or kids can hold... one that does not attack the sweet 6 year old girl that loves to pick up and snuggle her hens all day long. Currently I have a gorgeous splash silkie roo. Has proven his studdliness. But he hates my daughter picking up the birds and goes after her. He has no problem with me, but does not work well with her. But I like the fact of the rooster that keeps the peace with the girls. Prefer one without a huge crow. For my neighbors sake...

Gee Carol, maybe I should take your seramas and see how they do in the mix... I love handsomes little croak of a crow. My DH would laugh at them they are so tiny. But the LF birds might godzilla them.

Anyway- thought I would put the word out to see if anyone had thoughts. I hate to get rid of silver surfer because we were hoping to stud him out with the girls... but I cant risk dd...

I'm pretty sure I have a few silkie Roos. Don't know if you want to consider one of those since you're trying to get rid of one I also have an Icelandic roo... But he's a pecker. and I do have a lavender Orpington roo. He's a few onths old. He is pretty nice. I can pet him and pick him up no problem. He will also eat treats from my hand.

I ran away once.. I made it about 20 miles from home.. had no idea where I was.. (I was smart enough to take back roads so nobody could follow me) as it turned out, nobody missed me.
I had 35 cents in my pocket.. stopped at a tavern and bought a bottle of orange pop and a 1/4 pound Baby Ruth candy bar.. then something broke in my bike and I couldn't peddle it..and it wouldn't even go forward..so I ended up pushing it backwards all the way home.. but no deers chased me..

Annies royal purple guinea eggs just arrived.. about Sept 1 all my hatching should be done for this summer/year.. I have 36 quail eggs to get into the bator today, too..

I made a batch of bar b ques for breakfast.. I didn't have any green pepper , so they are sort of bland..

tried to take a nap,, no such luck about 8 phone calls, spaced just far enough apart for me to start dozing.. so toh ellw ith it..

I don't know if any of these Wallaces wore kilts although I have in my family tree so far Scottish, Welsh, English, Irish, German, south east Asian and French. For religion there have been Quakers, Protestants, Buddhists and Catholics. My husband is so far English, Spanish, Gibraltarian and Maltese. At this moment, my first ancestor arrived in Wisconsin around 162 years ago. It has been fascinating.

I have need of some help ppl, don't know if anyone on this thread has relocated from Florida but I posted this just now after getting off the phone with the MIL and I figured I ask if anyone here might also have any idea's. so here goes.........
Hello all you sunny side up peeps.............
I have a few questions and need help from you all in your fine state.
First off, I Live in Wi. , But my MIL, her sister and my Niece Live in Leesburg......... and the help I need is of the legal kind, a short version of whats going on will follow. So anyone who knows a good attorney or was an attorney in this state please pm me with anything that will help.
So whats going on my niece is 13 and Ma's sisters boyfriend has been molesting her for god knows how long, we all just found out in May when he was finally caught by her other aunt........ anyway he is in jail where he belongs and is likely to get 30 years, but the problem is the state has charged Ma with child neglect, and is trying to take her daughter away. How this can be since she new nothing about the happenings with her daughter and THIS SLIMEBALL, see ma and dad adopted her and her maternal mother is deceased, no fathers whereabouts even known. Ma has raised her since days old. I have no idea the ;laws in Florida, but this seems absolutely ridiculous...............and I have never heard anything so friggen anal in my life............ we are very upset about this crazy bull, and need help.
Ma lives on SS and gets part of Dads check for the Niece dad is also deceased, so she can not afford a good attorney, one has been provided by the state. But to me this all seems like she is being railroaded to have her child taken away because another aunt has legal connections with CPS in there original state of NY, who has been telling very tall tales and trying to cause as much trouble as possible because she wants her for the pay check............she even had the ordacity to slander us saying we were coming to Florida to kidnap the mom and niece............. Well for one I DON'T HAVE ANY RECORD, NEITHER DOES THE HUBBY, IN MY LIFE TIME I HAVE HAD 1 SPEEDING TICKET, THE HUBBY HAS ABOUT THE SAME, WE DON'T DRINK, OR DO DRUGS, AND RIGHT NOW THE HUBBY IS IN SCHOOL TO GET HIS CDL SO HE CAN FIND A JOB. Alittle hard to run 1800 miles with no money also for 2......... and what the heck would we want to kidnap anyone???????????? just silly bull to cause trouble. Please if anyone has any advice it sure would be greatly appreciated.

wow that's cool, good luck with your search, I have been working on my family tree for years now and have gotten as far back as my great-great grandfather coming over from Ireland and there the information is difficult to find.
