Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Ok there are enough people on here with little ones at home... I am sure some of you are creative and fun. So the twins turn 6 in a few weeks. Thus far we have gotten away with having a cookout birthday party with family and our close friends with kids ( who have been playing together for years but not in our school district) I usually do a craft project, otherwise let them run and play on swingset and with chickens.

So this year we finally have local friends. So I will probably do the cookout as before, but also have a little party with 4 or 5 friends each. Being the type of mom I am, I am going to do a make your own pizza for snack or maybe just decorate your own cupcake... not sure. I have flower lei necklaces for the girls to make but no ideas for the boys or any game or thing... any ideas any one?
Hi there- my DD5 birthday is in September, and we did a fall/Halloween party last year. We postponed the party to Oct. 1st and did a costume party. Also we did a lot of fall themed games and food. Make your own Caramel apples with different sprinkles and nuts to roll them in, pumpkin rolling races, pinata, mummy wrappping (with toilet paper) and carry the egg on the spoon game. If you are doing a Hawaiian theme, here is a link to website i use for my kids parties. Good Luck, I'm sure they will have tons of fun

so let the boys make the same thing but instead of using flowers see if you could find sport types of paper cut outs or something that your son enjoys doing. Everyone likes to play tag or freeze tag, hide and go seek, have egg races having them carry an egg on the spoon. water balloon fight outside of course. Have fun

No Cind? No Frenchie? Where is Terri, at least? Hmmmm........

Good evening. Sheesh, what do you mean by "AT LEAST TERRI?????" huh???? At least...man!

SO yes, I was busy this morning. DD26 had given up on her father fixing her phone so we had to go to WalMart and she bought a new one. She decided to go to Watertown Wally and they didnt have the phone she wanted (of course) so then we went to Jefferson and got it. The clerk took FOREVER! I got all my stuff (and more) and they STILL werent finished! SHe was supposed to be to work by 10 and made it at 11:15. Then I finished feeding the birds and went to work myself. My client was not cooperative in the least today...he has not been feeling well so I guess I cant blame him. I hope he starts feeling better soon!

It has rained here all day! A nice rain too; no wind. It stopped at 5 on my way home...the clouds looked nasty to the East and BFF said that she lost power about 3 pm. I was wondering why I hadnt heard from her. Our dinner date was cancelled and I wanted to make sure she didnt drive up to Milwaukee. The woman that I was supposed to meet for the birds had to go to Peoria for a car and didnt want to do Milw. too. Cant say as I blame her. Maybe I will get the barred rock and quail on Sunday. It was nice coming home today because I had already had the slow cooker loaded with ingredients for beef stew so it smelled really good. Now I get to eat some too! Maybe I will stir up a batch of GF biscuits to go with. That would be pretty good at this cooler temp. I can even think about turning on the oven! Only 62 here...you folks "up North" must be expecting frost any time hey?

Guess I'll mix up those biscuits...oh yeah Kristip--I did make your own pizza on one of my daughters' b'days. It was a huge success. They did the crust and everything! The pics are great. They all made chef hats out of construction paper first. So cute!

CC I am sending you a PM! BEWARE! LOL--later all, Terri O

Busy rainy Day Here...spent all afternoon down at Camp today. We moved all the furniture from the main room to the kitchen and the front porch. I was running a carpet scrubber all afternoon. For folks in the know....can you imagine the sand in the carpet there? Wish my carpet at home was as clean as Camp's.

Bummer about the eye CC....although it's better than me, lazy from head to toe! LOL Less than clear vision sucks for sure.

Cheesheads.....are you ready for some football? I know you are TO! First preseason game for the Pack tonight.

Later...GO Pack!

What I MEANT, Terri, was that Terri is ALWAYS here. You're Mrs. Dependable Cheesie.

So sensitive. Kinda like Jim.

Are you sure you two aren't related?

What is up with my hens? My 3 older ones are all in bed already! They don't usually turn in until 8pm. My old geezer Jack isn't even on the roost yet, and he's always the first to bed. It's been pretty gloomy all day with the rain, but I didn't think it was that dark out.

Silly girls.

Been that way for as long as I can remember, so I guess I don't know what I'm missing, Bigz. At least the other eye is strong enough to balance it out pretty good, so that's a plus. And I never said I wasn't lazy from head to toe, either.

Definitely ready to watch some football this evening with a nice cold one, or two. Enjoy the game. And I'm sure Terri is just dying from anticipation.

Roughly 2 1/5 " of rain here

and my in-laws FINALLY got some rain too!!!!

Trying to gear up for the Ordinance meeting on Tuesday..... I still need to call the FFA and the local 4-H groups (yeah, I know I should have done that a week ago but I forgot....) It is hard to remember all of this when we are scrambling to finish up the remodeling of the house by Sunday (yes the DH waits until the LAST POSSIBLE MINUTE to finish projects. I have to paint trim, paint a bedroom, paint the bathroom, AND move furniture from one room to the next, assemble a bed and on top of all that purchase new bedding and mattresses!

This is all for my DD's friend who's family moved to Alaska but she is coming back here for school since it is her Senior year and since I am a NICE mom I said she could stay here with us since we have an extra bedroom.... (incentive for DH to move his ***** and get it finished....)

Then I told the guys at work I would bring them cinnamon rolls on Saturday morning..... what the he!! am I thinking! I will have to make the dough tomorrow after work and get them all rolled out and ready to go so they can keep in the fridge and be baked right before I walk out the door at 5 (which means getting up at 4...), maybe I can get my DH to turn the oven on when he leaves at 3:30.......

Just thinking about this makes me tired. I do not even want to discuss my lack of exercise.....

Sounds like you'll be getting plenty of exercise working on your house to me!

Tuesday, is that when you need the tame chickies? Anyone down here doing a road trip? Terri? MLH? My Jack is a sweetie lap chicken if you need him. Moose can be too if you rub his wattles, but he is louder than all get out, so he might not be a good choice.

Anyone feed organic feed to their chickens? Not sure where to look.
Hope you are all weathering the rain all right. Have a great night

oh by the way- one of chickens got caught out of the fence during a downpour. Will she be allright?
