Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Well, it sure is fun to imagine you running around after a stubborn/scared/stupid guinea!

Sorry. I have no clue why she hasn't laid for you yet. Does she free range? Could she be hiding them on you? Or maybe her & another hen are alternating days of laying?

Someone on here, (Cind was it?) suggested painting the vent with something that would come off on the egg when laid, but I'm not sure what it was. Just don't use red.

Maybe try that to see if she is laying some of your eggs.

CC-I guess it is possible that of my 3, that they could be rotating laying days, but wouldn't I at least have a few days of 3 eggs? As far as hiding the eggs, I have to fill the feeder & waterer tomorrow so I'll do a search for buried eggs. Can you imagine the noise that would come out of my backyard if I had to chase my 3 chicks around trying to paint their vent? It would probably be funnier than trying to catch a stubborn guinea in BF4me's backyard!

It was food coloring around the vent. One quick swipe and you are done! Use blue or green.

I feel a little bit better, we managed to get the primer on the trim in the one bedroom. I will be much more comfortable once I get the bathroom painted (he needs to finish the trim in there too), then he can get his stuff done while I get MY stuff done. The most important part is getting the two bedrooms finished and switched! Tossing the paint on the walls is the easy part.

I have to order the mattresses yet..... then take the van and go get them! I wish my DD had her license.... I need to drop the car off at the dealership Sunday evening.

Is it Monday yet? Looking at this makes me even more tired!

I just meant to paint hers to see if any of your eggs are coming from her. They very well can be rotating their laying, but I do agree that you should have seen 3 eggs at least once by now. You could try applying the coloring after they go to roost, at least then your neighbors wouldn't get to see the show.

I don't know if I've ever heard of a sterile hen. Unfortunately, I guess they'd call her "soup"?
